We arrived at 1945 and we were seated right away for a table of 4. The restaurant was packed. The service was friendly but you could tell that they were over extended. We ordered our food and drinks and unfortunately the wait was extremely long. It took almost an hour for our food to arrive. The food was really delicious and they had a variety of options for every taste. I only rated 4 stars because of the wait and the service could improve. However, food was very good hot and fresh.
We made a reservation here for dinner (definitely recommend making reservations! Patrons who didn't were turned away at the door on this busy night). The restaurant was packed and very warm--it felt cozy compared to the cold air outside. I loved seeing the open air pizza stoves in the center of the restaurant. Our Flammkuchen was good but not great. We also ordered a side salad that was ENORMOUS. Would return.
for flame-cake lovers this is paradisiacal! they have the choice of over 30 different types! this is actually one of my favorite restaurants in mainz, because all are so nice, simple and helpful ... the restaurant is very cozy with a fire in the middle of the room and a very relaxed atmosphere. ideal for dinner with friends a cold winter night!
approx. 30 different flaky cakes on the menu as well as various types of salads and appetizers. the flammpie was excellent, inexpensive, and it was nice to see that the place has a fireplace in the middle of the room. However, they needed about 45 minutes to serve 4 flammable cakes. Réservez une table maintenant
a friend of mine once said we should go to the fireplace and meet there. but this camein is very hidden, so I had to look for Latin until I found it. So I just got in the local with a 30-minute delay. my friend was so mad. the cocktails were quite ok, but relatiw expensive.
