I ordered the drunken noodles, which were a bit drier than I expected, but the texture of the noodles was perfect and the flavors were delicious. My dining companions who tried the curry were extremely impressed and said it was the best they had ever tasted in the area. Overall, I would recommend Kartathai for a satisfying Thai meal in a cozy neighborhood setting.
I typically only write positive reviews, but I believe this feedback could benefit both the restaurant and its customers. When asked to choose a spiciness level between 1 and 5, we requested level 1. It is important for a restaurant to understand that some individuals do not desire any spiciness in their dish. If a customer specifies the lowest heat level, the restaurant should be cautious and avoid adding anything that could make the dish spicy. It is worth mentioning that both dishes we ordered at level 1 heat were unexpectedly spicy. Be aware of this when ordering from this restaurant.
Gotta say I am impressed. I just ordered delivery(currently eating and felt the need to review). Their food still came hot. I could smell the soft shell crab dish from the bag, which was a great sign. Their beef jerky was nice and tender. And then lastly, the papaya salad was actually really great! I didn’t expect it. I usually have good flavored papaya where it’s drenched in sauce, which is good. But this was a nice, smooth, mild but still flavorful sauce which was just excellent! Thank you.
Got takeout looking for pad Thai and coconut curry the pad Thai was beyond disappointing. Our noodles were pink that tasted like sweet and sour sauce and the toppings were barely there. Looking at it as we opened our take out, I didn't know what wewere looking at! The curry was fine but when I'm craving Thai, I will not try this place again. We have a different favoritethat's closed on Mondays which is why we tried it but.... Next time we'll hold out

I absolutely love Karta Thai. Working on the St. Paul university campus often means limited food choices, so I was excited when this restaurant opened. It has surpassed my expectations, and I now dine there nearly every week. Their lunch menu is excellent, featuring dishes like fried rice, pad thai, and green or red curry, all priced around $8 and typically including a side salad. The food is tasty and served promptly.
The food at Karta Thai was good, but the service was quite slow. My water was never refilled. The portions were large—one dish, the Thief Ka Tofu, was enough to satisfy me. The spice blend was excellent; I really enjoyed the deep, warm heat. The tofu was perfectly crispy. There are plenty of vegetarian options, with most dishes offering tofu as the protein choice, or shrimp for pescatarians.
The service is incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can relax and savor the wonderful, delicious dishes at this cozy yet bustling restaurant. The pad thai is excellent, as are the outstanding appetizers, fantastic soups, and delightful desserts. It's a beloved local spot, though it can get a bit noisy when busy.
Thai restaurant where they can eat or take. they also take over the delivery of bord. I love her pad thai, chickensatay, early rolls and sticky rice. they also have a full cash. highly recommended!

I ordered shrimp pad Thai and there were 4-5 shrimps. The noodles had too much sauce, makes it sticky and soggy to my wishes. Wish it has more veggies as well
The Pineapple Curry actually comes served inside a pineapple! Absolutely delicious!
