Having read some positive reviews on Kathi’s, we decided to go. Upon arrival we were advised the restaurant was full and the only table available was within a small overflow area. We stumbled onto this gem when looking for another restaurant, the menu looked good...and who can say no to a decent steak and chips (fries)? Being asked if we had a reservation on a Monday night was promising and we soon realised why; shortly after...we were seated the place was full. On offer were burgers, chicken and some pasta, but we went with the steak and salmon with a side salad. The Black Angus steak (from Australia) was perfectly cooked and came with thick wedges of potato and sour cream, the farmers salad was a very good coleslaw. The waitress deserves a special mention; she looked after the whole room by herself and didn't miss a beat. Even when under the pump she kept her cool....
I‘m a strict vegetarian since many years now and I dared to visit this steak house. To be honest, they don’t offer a lush variety of veggie food and I knew this in advance. There were only two or three dishes on their main menu...to choose from, but that‘s totally ok for me! I ordered a vegetarian burger with regular fries and a farmers salad. The burger with its ingredients was very delicious! It contained fresh mozzarella, olives, rocket salad and dried tomatoes with some tastey other stuff! The fries were really well seasoned and an excellent supplement to the burger! The salad was good, but I could imagine, that the experience would be even better with some small green side salad or so....
We tried the restaurants rated #1 and 4 and I can tell you definitively, Kathi's was much better than both. Service was excellent, the food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. For dinner I had the ribeye and my husband had the fillet. His...potatoes au gratin were better than my fries with sour cream, but the fries were hot and crispy, I just preferred the cheesy potatoes. Both were actually delicious. We liked it so much we went back for lunch and both had the Kathi's classic (steak tips) which was delicious and very reasonably priced. my wife and I went past kathi earlier and thought we should go back based on the menu alone it has definitiw a little from a North American steakhouse feeling in contrast to authentic Bavarian, but see how we wanted. in Europe for 2 weeks, we felt that this was a good starting point. everything about this place is perfect. eating, wine, service and atmosphere were all exceptional. both meals were excellent, the bark was perfectly cooked, and the waiting staff was knowledgeable and friendly as well. if you want to sit inside, you can reserve otherwise there are many outside tables.
meat is good. very good. and they know how to make it a real wise, which is the point of a steakhouse! good choice of beer (even from the beaten away, to time so even better) but limited selection of weeps (too bad...for more beautiful pairings). the service is attentive, sometimes slow. cocktails before dinner are not to be pared to the rest. stick to good pint or a bottle of their craft brews selection.
good food, good service, good atmosphere. the cesar salad with lachstrip was really a big piece of salmon with a small salat on the side. it was very good, even if it wasn't what you could expect. we shared the vitelli tonato appetizer. it was excellent and would have been good as a top plate. it was considerable, beautiful that we shared it. we will return definitiw when we are back in town.
I ate here twice in the run of a few days because I enjoyed it so much the first time. at the first opportunity we shared the garnstarter. they even asked how we want to cook them! Top brands. the steak for the main...Gang was exactly the correct portion size; not too big or too small. it was cooked exactly as ordered and was delicate and delicious.

We were looking for a restaurant between the airport and our hotel. This one had great reviews according to TripAdvisor. We made reservations and happy to report this is amazing! Service was excellent and food was excellent! I would definitely recommend this place and plan...to return on my next visit.
