It was wonderful to stop by Kwartha for the first time. The place is clean, plenty of place to sit inside and outside. Lots of ice cream tubs and different typs of milk to choose from and take home, merchandise and even a loan library available. Decided to try the new Dockside Capuccino flavour in a wafer cone absolutely loved the taste and would definitely do it again. Service was quick and easy, staff was friendly and did their job well. I hope to visit here again when I come to Orillia in the future, highly recommended.
Ice cream is good, but the last couple of times we have been there the scoops have gotten smaller. I don’t know whether this is due to the kids working there scooping them smaller or management telling them to do that; but consistency is key to people returning, and I don’t think I will be since I am no longer getting value for the money. Over six dollars for a regular cup, you would expect to have a good amount of ice cream but not lately unfortunately. Will have to go elsewhere when we have an ice cream craving.
We went here last Friday evening. The blonde haired young girl serving us was very friendly and helpful, gave us a free sample to try when we were unsure about a flavour, and the ice cream we ended up getting was delicious. Price was a tad up there, but you get a lot of ice cream per scoop so I think it was fair. We got a baby size in a cone and a small in a cup, and you can see in my attached pic how large they actually are. We look forward to returning. Réservez une table maintenant
This my friends, is what they call a small size cone. With a small being nearly the size of my head, I 'm intrigued to see what a large looks like! This ice-cream is delicious, made with REAL cream (not like the frozen dessert they try to sell in the grocery stores). I highly recommend this ice-cream shop!
Amazing ice cream!! I was looking for classic Canadian flavors and Kawartha Dairy surpassed my dreams with sugar shack maple and moose tracks!! If you would like to have the tastiest treat make sure to ask for Curtis! He is Orillia’s #1 ice cream scooper! You will not be disappointed!
Very welcoming, friendly owners and staff. Love being able to drive thru and get my milk. Makes it the last stop I make before crossing the bridge and heading out of town. Less chance of it going bad, especially in the summer. Always post dated fresher than grocery stores.
