Very disappointed. Mac n cheese was cold, clumpy and flavorless (plain flour sauce, no seasoning or cheese). Chicken was clearly cooked then reheated, was dry and we felt uncomfortable finishing it. Pulled pork was nothing special, but I found a huge piece of cartilage in it and it was on a generic store bought bun. Roasted potatoes were cold. Coleslaw was good, and j seasoning and seasoning on the potatoes were good. The staff were nice and friendly, but we paid $60 for 2 people and most of it went in the garbage along with the cheap styrofoam plates and th Giant Tiger bag. I went to this restaurant for a quick lunch at 1:30pm and had the worst takeout experience I've had in quite some time. They ran out of rice and instead gave me double potatoes as my two sides. The potatoes were cold, hard, and some were undercooked. The online menu said that the jerk chicken meal came with 1/2 chicken and 2 sides for $19.99, but I was charged $25.98 after tax, which was an extra $3.40. I only received 1/4 of a chicken with very little meat on it. The food was served on a styrofoam plate, which was disappointing. I would not recommend this place. One of the most disappointing experiences I 've had with take out. We went for lunch around 1:30 pm and was informed they had no rice until tomorrow . I chose double potato for my 2 sides . The potatoes were horrendously cold, undercooked. The menu says 1/2 chicken but I only got 1/4 chicken which had barely any meat. The price was $19.99... I paid $25.98... that 's an extra $3.40... Just to be served cold food on a Styrofoam plate! As a chef I recommend making sure prices are correct, food is up to temperature and cleaning as you go as prep areas were messy and that 's the first thing customers see when they walk into your establishment. I won 't recommend or go back.
Dirtiest restaurant I have ever been in. The garbage cans inside and outside were overflowing. The windows, doors, and floors have never been cleaned by the looks of them. The overpriced pulled pork was tasty but served on a store bought hamburger bun. The Mac n cheese was pasty and clumpy and had absolutely no flavour. Didn't taste any cheese, and I couldn't tell what was actually in it besides the weird shaped pasta. I ended up throwing it in the garbage. A lot of the food on the menu was not available, and the selection of drinks was almost non existant. We were sorry we didn't just go down the road to Arby's.... never again. We ordered a shredded chicken plate with two sides and we were disappointed in everything. For $20 it came with maybe half a cup of shredded chicken, I would have thought the meat would be the star of the show and a generous portion for that price. The chicken itself was overly seasoned and very salty. It was slow cooked but still crunchy because of the excess seasoning. The mac and cheese side was flavourless and it seemed like the noodles had been way over cooked. The cornbread looked and felt good but tasted like watery corn. Only redeeming factor was that the gentleman who served us was nice and provided quick service.
This restaurant has the atmosphere of a food truck with the prices of a restaurant. I tried the pulled pork, but it was just average. I paid $20 for a small amount of meat on a tiny bun with some fries on the side. The food was alright, but not exceptional, and I was still hungry after. It seems like the prices have increased. The aroma when you enter is wonderful, but the serving sizes are quite small considering the cost. In conclusion, I wouldn't dine here again. There are other establishments that offer larger portions for the same price or less.
This was the BEST Jerk chicken my husband and I have ever had. It's not too spicy but flavourful and juicy cooked to perfection. This guy knows how to cook! The rib sauce is amazing too you could put it on a leather shoe and it would taste good lmao. Just kidding! But the ribs are awesome too! We will be back to eat here when ever we come to Otillia. My Husband said he would eat the jerk chicken until he got sick that's how good it tastes!! You GOTTA EAT HERE!!
AMAZING!!! Don't judge a book by its cover here, Its all about the food! Nothing fancy but amazing food. I had the pulled chicken on a bun and mac n cheese and it def hit the soul. A lot of love is put into smoking of this meat, you won't be disappointed. We sat outside under a nice tiki umbrella as seating is limited. Ever eaten at a Carribean road side shack and had amazing food?? This is the Canadian version of that experience and its great!!! Enjoy!! Réservez une table maintenant
