We have been to Kenichi about 12 times.. last night was not great. It wasn’t horrible, but when you drop $250 for a couple it should be excellent. The main issue last night was a dirty, sticky table, served an old glass of wine and a warm beer. Order the filet medium rare and it was medium well.. We almost sent it back. Ordered sunomono with octopus and they forgot the octopus. They then brought out 3 uncut pieces for us to add to it instead of bringing us a new dish??? Weird. Our server was nice.. The chocolate soufflé was good as well as the crispy rice special. The albacore special roll was lacking flavor. I’ll go back but most likely for their happy hour..
Food was good but service was awkward and inconsistent. We received items we did not order and didn't get items we had ordered. The waiter wanted to know up front if we would split the bill or if it would be on one. Reasonable request, but it was approached like we were doing a shady deal in the ally. Also ordered a special roll that cost 25% more than other items that were comparable on the menu. So stick to the menu, and watch what you order ad what they bill you.
The food was delicious as always. However, the service was inconsistent. The hostess quickly seated us and left without much interaction. The waitress would disappear for long periods and was not very attentive to our drink orders. She then approached us while we were still eating to ask if we wanted to see the dessert menu.
We always have fabulous food and beverages at Kenichi! Tonight was no exception. Maverick gave excellent service. He is extremely knowledgeable about the menu and specials. We look forward to our next evening at Kenichi!

The sushi at this restaurant is fantastic, and the regular menu is also amazing. I highly recommend trying the dynamite shrimp. We definitely plan on returning!

We had a delightful and delicious time. Our server was outstanding and our meals were excellent.
The food at this restaurant is incredible! My wife and I enjoyed everything we ordered.
