My wife and I went here for dinner. The sauerbraten was not sour; it was sweet. We ordered the spinach salad with the hot bacon dressing. The salad did not have any spinach and the dressing was not bacon 'y . The service was okay. Our server, Kayla, started out attentive but after I was honest about our dinner, the attention dropped off dramatically how many servers bring the check without a pen for you to use when signing the check? Two appetizers, two sauerbraten, two glasses of wine, one beer, one soda and two desserts was $200 with a modest tip. The restaurant is 30 minutes from our home but we will not be back.

Popped in for a mid week dinner and a beer with a buddy. No waiting, seated right away. Beer is always on point here. Food was good, could've been a little warmer, but still tasty. Glad I skipped an app, because I could barely finish my entre.Vegetarian options: On the menu are vegetarian dishes.Kid-friendliness: It's like being at Pinochio's in Disney World. Without the yodelling music. You really do feel tranported to another part of the world.Parking: There's a couple up front, and some on the side. But across the street is a huge dirt lot that handles the overflow parking on the weekends and Summer.

I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food at this restaurant. In the past, the sauerbraten was tough and dry, but this time it was excellent. The waitresses were dressed in casual attire, rather than their usual traditional German outfits. I also noticed that none of the waitresses spoke German, which was a departure from the past. The owner mentioned that they are trying to sell the restaurant and move to Florida, which is evident from the low number of customers on a Friday night. It's sad to see it go, but I wish the owner a happy retirement.

This is the place to go for great German food! It’s interesting decorating inside and out too. The service was okay. If you’re looking for beer, then this is also a great place to get one. We tried a sausage platter and it was tasty! For the next time I will try pretzel and potato pancakes, someone said we must try this) On Friday night there was a live music performance. It was very pleasant to listen to popular hits and it added a good impression on the atmosphere in this restaurant. Réservez une table maintenant

Killmeyer’s Old Bavaria Inn is for everyone. It is a quant and old historical building with all it charms. The menu is fantastic and the portions are large. We love the potato pancakes, pierogies, jumbo pretzel, homemade Wiener schnitzel, sauerbraten, Schwerinshaxe, lastly the Apple strudel. The beer and liquor selection is very nice and the staff is wonderful. Service is attentive and slow but so worth it.

Though I personally do not drink, my friend Sean got very drunk from just one beer, indicating that Killmeyer's likely offers some strong options. German restaurants are a rarity on Staten Island, so Killmeyer's stands out as a great choice in this category. The parking lot nearby is convenient, though not well-lit at night. Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy some German cuisine and beer.

Delicious. Highly recommend the jumbo pretzel with beer cheese and the chicken schnitzel. The restaurant was absolutely empty. One other table for two was filled. Shocking for a Friday evening. People began showing up around 9pm. The live music was enjoyable. Our server was more than happy to allow any substitutions for sides included with our entrees.

We had a very relaxing evening at the restaurant. We ordered drinks and a large pretzel while listening to a band play in the outdoor area. It was very enjoyable and we had a great time. The food was excellent, we give it a 5 out of 5 rating. Réservez une table maintenant
