This is such a chic spot with many seafood options set in a remodeled older house in Decatur. Very upscale, gourmet options and the price tag that fits it. They have lots of oyster options (raw, grilled, etc), beef tartare which was raved about but we didn't get, snapper tartare (essentially snapper sushi with yummy citrus? Sauce and micro green/kumquat citrus topping), amongst other yummy starters. The cocktails are delish! My partner got the whiskey smash which springy didn't taste like whiskey but instead more of a guava tasting tropical drink (yummy)! The service is great and the ambiance is moody at night! the ingredients are very fresh for both drinks and dessert! I had the peach and basil smash and it came with a fresh slice of peach which was delicious! The drink was well balanced and you can see they make their own syrups and extracts. The peach pavlova dessert was okay. Fresh but I think it could use a revamp sans the meringue type casing. Overall will return to have dinner here and try it out!
Ew. HUGE bug crawling on counter while I was here. Server was not disturbed and just said, 'oh, sorry. ' I had to push it onto the bar area where it crawled around for a while longer. I ate alone and still waited over 30 minutes for my meal. Further, they add a fee for the employee health insurance onto the bill. I used to enjoy this place, and have come here for years, but this experience was beyond subpar.
I have never encountered such attentive yet down-to-earth staff at a restaurant. They answered all of our questions thoroughly. The restaurant has been beautifully restored and decorated. The food was outstanding. I enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, while my husband raved about his oysters and pork shoulder. Make your special evening even more memorable at Kimball House.

My fiance and I celebrate our anniversary here on Sept 9th. When we got there everyone was wishing us happy anniversary they even have a glass of champagne for us. I had the best steak dinner well tasty and flavorful and he had the fish which was also delicious. From now on this will be our favorite little spot.
OMG, what an amazing dinner. The ambience was sophisticated and elegant, but warm and cozy. Our server was incredible. Everyone whom delivered a cocktail, refilled our water, delivered a course were all so professional and kind. The food and cocktail (French 75) were amazing. I can't wait come back.
Love this place! Great date night spot in Decatur. We sat at the bar and our servers/bartenders were great. We got the grouper crudo, oysters, Hawaiian rolls, and the snapper entree. Everything was amazing!!! 10/10
The oysters were so good. I felt like a lot of their prices were too high. Our bill was $200 and we didn't even order drinks.

Overpriced and underwhelming food. The menu is uninspiring. Thought the cocktails would have been a bit more elevated.
