FOOD The food was absolutely amazing, and this ramen was probably the best ramen I've ever had. It also helped that we had it on such a cold evening. I ordered the original ramen with a complementary side of crushed garlic, and my friend ordered the Shoyu ramen with garlic and a side of kimchi. The broth was absolutely delicious, and I found myself drinking it a little too fast compared to my noodle consumption. The toppings were scrumptious as well: the egg was perfectly marinated and on the sweeter side, the bean sprouts/mushrooms/onions fresh and crunchy, and more. I came here on a whim from northern NJ on a work trip. I must say that this place is awesome! I've had plenty of ramen from NJ, NYC, and Tokyo and this place was definitely top of my list. The atmosphere is almost as good as the ramen itself! From the art on the walls, soft music, and friendly wait staff. I love the bountiful choices in Japanese drinks. I got a Sapporo with my meal ?. As for the ramen... The noodles were spot on! Spice and heat were just right. The egg was creamy and the pork had just the right amount of fat to melt in your mouth. I ordered Miso Pork Ramen and Gyoza as an appetizer. The atmosphere was pleasant—quiet, with ambient lighting and interesting wall designs. The staff were friendly. The Gyoza was quite good, fried to a nice crisp without being too dry. However, the Miso Pork Ramen was somewhat disappointing. It didn't measure up to other Japanese miso ramens and felt more like an "Americanized" version. The egg could have been better; it was slightly overcooked, and the chashu was dry. There was also too much corn. Overall, the soup and the ingredients felt disconnected, lacking balance. Instead of complementing each other, they seemed to clash in several ways.
Great experience that stays true to the ways of ramen, with exceedingly good appetizers. Excellent drink selection. The octopus balls were my favorite appetizer of the three pictured (although the calamari are a close second, and I didn’t eat the fried dumpling). The intense savory flavor within the soft breading and the little chew of octopus inside was really delicious. Ramen was also wonderful, the pork was truly melt-in-your-mouth, but I didn’t get a picture because I was too busy eating it.

Honestly I cannot believe this place has any positive feedback I ordered edame, gyozas and shrimp tempura delivered by GrubHub. No prob with GrubHub good communication, etc., arrived on time. But the FOOD. OMG. Edame overcooked, gyoza was some rolled up meat inside a chewy deep fried dumpling. It came with some undrinkable broth. Shrimp tempura was soggy and sitting on top of rice in what I can only describe as some sort of gravy. It is by far the WORST food experience I've had in this area.
Great ramen place with many types of ramen to choose from. Large portions at a very affordable price when compared to other ramen places in the DMV area. I chose the spicy miso ramen and I was not disappointed; 1 large bowl of sweet, spicy and savory flavor, 2 big pieces of pork.I have eaten at many ramen restaurants but this is one of the first few that I am very satisfied with: great food, great music, great atmosphere. Would definitely come back to try other courses.
This restaurant's ramen used to be fantastic! About two years ago, I started coming here because I was craving some authentic Japanese ramen and thought I had finally found the right spot. However, the quality of the noodles and broth began to decline about a year and a half ago. I used to visit at least twice a month, even though I live an hour away, but now I don't go at all. I'm still on the lookout for a genuine ramen place in the DMV area.
Loved it. This was my second time ordering ramen and these guys are definitely it. I got the spicy tantanmen ramen. Not only was the broth super delicious, it wasn’t too salty, the egg noodles were delish and the pickled egg was perfect. Incredible ramen! This was my first visit to the restaurant, and although it's a small spot, the flavors are anything but lacking. It was the spiciest ramen I've ever had—absolutely fantastic! The staff was also very friendly. Plus, they don't charge extra for broth like Jinya does. I highly recommend this place!
