Very upset last time we ordered from Kim's. First off it cost more than expected because their menu prices online have not been updated so every dish was $2-$3 more than we thought. Also most dishes like lemon chicken or sweet and sour pork come with the sauce in the side, which we are aware of except this time the sauce took up a quarter of the container! To top it off the vegetables were mostly raw. Will think twice before ordering from here again. gave them another chance and what a huge disappointment. Spent $75 and got smaller portions of food. General chicken was huge (11pieces) and the container was smashed but instead of putting it in a new container they just wrapped a bag around it...
I've been dining at this restaurant since childhood. Whenever my parents would ask where I wanted to celebrate my birthday, I would instantly say, "Kim's!" I was around 10 years old when I first discovered this place, and now at 38, I still make the drive from out of town just for the Letter A combo. The staff knows me by name and remembers my usual order thanks to my loyal patronage and love for this establishment. The food is consistently delicious, the staff is always friendly, and even when they tell me there might be a 20-minute wait, my meal is ready in just 10 to 15 minutes. As long as this restaurant remains open, I will continue to be a devoted customer!
I ordered the special for four at Kim's Chinese, which was listed on the menu for $32.00. However, when I picked up my order, I was charged $54.00. When I asked about the price difference, I was told the website menu hadn’t been updated. After reading other reviews, it appears this is a common excuse used when customers are overcharged. I believe this amounts to false advertising, especially since multiple reviewers have reported similar issues. Additionally, the food was disappointing—dry and rubbery. I will not be returning to Kim's Chinese and cannot recommend it to others.
Kim's Chinese is truly exceptional. My grandmother was a frequent visitor when she was alive, and she passed away in 1995. My entire family loves this place! The customer service is excellent, but it's unfortunate that rental prices in Rancho Cordova are so high, as some property owners are rather greedy. Kim's Chinese, you have been fantastic, and it breaks my heart to see you shut down!

Kim's Chinese is outstanding! My grandmother used to come here frequently before she passed away in 1995, and the whole family loves it! The customer service is top-notch, though it's unfortunate that rental prices in Rancho Cordova are so steep—some landlords can be pretty greedy. Kim, your food is incredible, and I'm really sorry to hear you're leaving!
I'm so heartbroken that they will be closing their doors on December 31st after 42 years of serving the community in Rancho Cordova! I'm really saddened by this news. Everything on their menu is fantastic. Please make sure to visit and support them before they close!
The food at Kim's Chinese is outstanding! I particularly love the chicken chow mein and the pot stickers. Whenever I'm under the weather, I always go for their hot wonton soup. The quality is top-notch, and everything tastes wonderfully fresh.
Unfortunately, the quality of this restaurant has declined compared to before. As others have noted, the prices listed online are outdated, and the food was rather mediocre. I’ll give it another try to see if there’s any improvement.
