The waitress was attentive, but the kitchen struggled to manage a party of eight. Our meals didn’t arrive at the same time, which was disappointing. Additionally, the payment process was complicated by the technology they used; it can be great when it works, but frustrating when it doesn’t. We weren’t informed beforehand that a 15% gratuity would be added to our bill until it was time to pay. On a positive note, the mini sweet potato pie was delicious. I enjoyed the wings and mac and cheese, though I was surprised to find that the cabbage was seasoned with pork—this wasn't mentioned on the menu. The potato salad tasted amazing the next day.
The location is excellent, but the restaurant is quite small and very disorganized. While the prices are reasonable, the food is just okay. Be prepared for them to be out of many menu items and expect long wait times. Additionally, they took a tip from my debit card without my approval, which feels like stealing, especially since I had already given a cash tip to the one person who helped me with my to-go order. Also, I have to mention that the mac and cheese was terrible!
The service was satisfactory. The food was average—not the best, but not the worst either. I ordered wings, cabbage, and yams. Would I consider returning? Probably not. Was there anything particularly good? Not really. The wings were quite salty, the yams were overly sweet, and their texture suggested they had been old and reheated. The cabbage was acceptable. In total, I spent around $20, including a tip, so I guess it's whatever. Service type: Takeout.
I really enjoy this restaurant! Everything from the location and ambiance to the friendly and courteous staff is great. The food is incredible! If you're craving a homestyle Southern meal without the hassle of cooking, you won't be let down. The drink service is also excellent. Be sure to check out their live entertainment on Wednesdays starting around 5 PM; it's definitely worth it!

The bartender and server could definitely benefit from some customer service training. I felt completely overlooked, even when I attempted to get their attention. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to place an order.
The waitress, Quintera (also known as Tete), was rude and didn’t get our orders right. When we requested a change, she responded with mild aggression. The food was just okay, and I won’t be returning to this restaurant.
My friends and I had an excellent experience dining here. The food was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly.
