Came here on a Saturday night after trying a whole bunch of other places, and found this place had seating. It turned out that it was one of the breweries that we wanted to visit, so that turned out well. The underground dining room has the acoustics that make too many people in the room stop any conversation due to the loud noise. However, we managed to have one until two large groups came in and started drinking and chatting. The server was prompt and courteous, the food came quickly, and hot. in september 2013 I made a short trip to france with my partner. the city bamberg is not only beautiful, but also offers a lot of beer and brew. on a beer we returned in the evening in the klosterbräu, idyllic near the river. since 1533 is brewed here, so it is the oldest brewery bambergs. the dining room is rustic and fitting, 20 years ago he looked safe shcon exactly the same. the guests consisted of a good mix of tourist and local. the offered beers are pointed, the pilgers are very hard for Franconian conditions (here dominate malt otherwise) the brown and the black beer convinces. we didn't eat anything, but the narrators of the other guests looked very good.
The Klosterbrau is an old brewery, and the history goes back to 1533, making it the oldest in Bamberg. Covid-19 measures limit the number of seats, but we got a nice place in the Biergarten with a great view to the river. The food is regional and very good, and of cause the beer is excellent. On a sunny day this is a popular place to go, but in spite of a busy day we had very good service.
I was here with the family from my husband. And unfortunately we have a very bad experience. First the waiter was very rude. Most of us needed to change our order because they did not have what we wanted. Not even coffee. For the location and the size of the place you could not imagine that you can not get a cup of coffee.

Popped in on a recommendation of a friend and a brewer. Good good beers and very popular with tables book well in advance. Not the biggest place and in winter you can just walk right past as you would never know summer and seating outside would attract the crowds. Cosy on a cold day and great service with great beer.
