Koko's Uptown Cafe

This place is decorated really nicely inside, the food was okay, i ordered the huevos rancheros. For 5.95 you get 2 eggs, potatoes and refried beans (the bacon was extra 2.95). The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium, the salsa for the eggs was good, the refried beans were warm but didn't have any special taste to it but it was okay, the potatoes were soggy but warm, nothing special to say about them, the bacon was thin and crispy it was actually good but it was an extra. The tortillas were okay, the flour was much better than the corn, both are made in the restaurant. The my first cup of coffee was semi warm but the second one was Hot. The servers were okay, they were really busy. Overall a decent place to have breakfast at a decent price.

Great service and they have a big menu with something for everyone. Recommend This place for a quiet and relaxing meal in an intimate environment. The natural light in the daytime is also a wonderful experience. I can recommend the Enchiladas. The Koko special plate is a way for me. The dishes here are also good choices when you feed a big party. Give it to go the waiting staff is very friendly and patient so you are sure to have a good time.

A classic restaurant known in McAllen. I can't say enough good things about this business. Service is always excellent, and the food is always delicious. I recommend the Koko Special.

Excellent food and service. The restaurant was very clean and beautifully designed. As soon as we were inside, we regretted to leave our decision.

Bought a seafood platter and instead received a French fries platter….very very disappointing
