We arrived at midday as a midweek party of 33 plus coach driver, from France. We were the sole occupants of the restaurant after our visit to the Dali theatre-museum (which was excellent). The day trip organiser had booked lunch, with a choice of three items for the main dish, plus one glass of wine each, at a fixed price including starters and desert. First, the food. I was at a table for four. My paella main course comprised mushrooms in rice, plus two tiny prawns and two mussels – totally inadequate. The fish that my wife chose was stale.
