Kornblume is located just outside the beaten track, in the Wunderburg neighborhood. Vegan options include a small or large falafel plate, spelz patties and vegetable sauces, all served with large salads and delicious vegetable sides. Servings are large and often contain whole grain products. In summer you can sit in a quiet courtyard, and on sunny days you have Mahr 's Bräu Unspundet, a famous local beer, on Hahn. (The Mahr brewery is located around the corner, but closed on sunny days, so you can enjoy their beer at Kornblume instead). Large children's corner full of toys. Went there with my parents and my fiancee and we chose this restaurant since we all were craving for some excellent vegetarian food, which isn't that easy to find in the region. The service was friendly and the food was very good---we tried the salads, the spicy tacos, and the falafel. Everything is freshly prepared, and one could really taste that. There is a nice garden where kids can play. Overall, highly recommended. Since the place is small and everything is freshly prepared, it is wise to call ahead and check how busy they are (we went on a Sunday night and didn't have to wait much).
We were recommended Kornblume by our hotel (we were looking for a restaurant with vegetarian food for my wife) and were not disappointed. We went two nights and each time the meals were excellent (vegetarian and meat) as was the beer - from a local brewery - and the service.Although it is a very doable walk from city centre, there is also the advantage of two breweries on the way. The atmosphere was quiet but this was probably to do with a Sunday and Monday in late October.Robin C
By a recommendation of 2 nice ladies from Gummersbach we went to the grain flower as Touri's. Without sacrificing the services of the other restaurants and chefs we had previously visited, this was by far the best food we enjoyed in our short trip. Lots of rich. Great taste. Vegetables al Dente. The tent with a great sauce and no sauce with something spun. Always make a visit worth a visit and not irritate by the somewhat remote location.

My colleague and I are both vegetarians and we chose this restaurant because it kept turning up on websites listing vegetarian dinner options in Bamberg. We were not disappointed. This restaurant has many vegetarian options on the menu (also some meat options). Both our meals were well-sized portions and very tasty (we had ordered a starter as well, but both of us couldn't finish our main courses).
We went there because an friend of us is vegetarian. We tried all starter and had vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. All dishes where delicious and cooked with love. Only the salad was made with to less sauce - but this is not effecting the very good dishes in this cozy restaurant.
Had supper here with three vegetarian friends. The menu was inventive and local products. It is a small restaurant so you must reserve. The portions are very very big so go with a hearty appetite or maybe share the main courses. It was off the beaten track and good.
3-1/2 stars ... reasonably priced and tasty. Away from all the tourist locations, and sometimes it is nice to have a break from the traditional cuisine. Hippy cuisine? A little 70s? And I mean that in a good way. Friendly staff, all in all an enjoyable experience

Small, quiet restaurant tucked away from the main stream. Not a lot of choices, but food was tasty. My salad was huge with a variety of veggies. My husband had a schnitzel that was delicious.
Very accommodating service and great dishes. Really huge portions, no one goes hungry from the restaurant. There are also many vegetarian dishes and also a few vegans. Very delicious.
