I arrived at the drive-thru with only three cars ahead of me, just before 11:30 p.m. I pulled up to the speaker quickly but received no response. After waiting for over five minutes, I drove around to the window. I told the employee I had been waiting at the speaker with no acknowledgment. He asked if I was a DoorDash driver, and when I said I wanted to place an order, he said they had stopped taking orders. It was 11:36 p.m., and I reminded him they close at midnight. He explained they still had about four DoorDash orders to complete and needed to clean before going home. I repeated that they officially close at midnight. I visited Krystal last night around 10:30 PM on Friday, July 22, after a long flight. When I pulled up to the drive-through, two young men approached my car. I asked if they were still open, and they confirmed they were there to assist me. I wasn't sure if they worked there or if they were just customers, which felt like a very unsafe situation. Given this experience, I won't be returning to this location, especially when there are other Krystal Burgers available.
I got off work late tonight and was starving, so I stopped by about 14 minutes before closing (12 AM), and the open sign was still on. After waiting a few minutes, a young man spoke over the intercom and told me they were closed. I mentioned that I thought they closed at midnight, and he said yes, but that was still 10 minutes away. I've had great service there during the day before, but this experience was very disappointing and makes me hesitant to return.
The staff forgot my two pups, and the grape Icee machine was out of order. The building looks rundown and poorly maintained. I don't consider myself picky, but it really seems like the place isn’t being taken care of. It’s also always empty whenever I pass by. Krystal has become too expensive. While the original Krystals are decent and my son enjoys the pups, that’s about it. The chicken just doesn't taste right. We really need a White Castle nearby.
