Welcome to HappyCow, Kung Pao! This is absolutely my favorite Chinese restaurant, primarily for their vegetarian mock meat dishes. The Vegetarian Orange Chicken and Vegan Kung Pao Beef are simply amazing! Honestly, I haven't tried many other dishes because these two are so delicious that I can't imagine anything tasting better.
The Vegetarian Orange Chicken strikes the perfect balance of sweetness and crunchiness without being overly sweet. The Vegan Kung Pao Beef features a wonderful mix of vegetables, and the crunchy peanuts add to its deliciousness! I ordered from Postmates for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! It had been a while since I enjoyed such delicious Chinese food. The order arrived quickly and was still warm. My sister, who got the Chicken Lo Mein (I'm a vegetarian), said it was tasty, though not particularly unique compared to other places. The portions were generous, and she enjoyed her meal. The Hot Garlic Eggplant with Fried Tofu was flavorful, even though it wasn’t spicy—perfect for my low spice tolerance. The Stir-Fried Garlic String Beans were also flavorful and delicious. Overall, I was very satisfied with my order and will definitely be ordering from Kung Pao Bistro again!
Came here after work for the first time. I got the beef lo mein and chicken wings! Both were delicious. I liked how the lo mein tasted, but everyone has different taste. It's not to soggy or oily!! And the wings were the regular baked. I liked how they added green onions, i think cilantro, red hot pepper, and fried jalapeños. However, none were mildly spicy which I understand. They gave me soy sauce but no hot sauce, which I should asked for. So ask if you want that for sure!! The customer service was okay, friendly. Would definitely come again.
Solid Food I ordered the orange chicken and lo mein, the classic combo, was expecting amazing food just from reading the reviews but I was a little disappointed. The orange chicken is good but not great, the noddles where great, overall the flavor was a tad bit bland. I definitely put Hoy Woks over Kung Pao Bistro any day just for their orange chicken alone. Also, I never really mention customer service when reviewing a restaurant, unless it is memorably bad. This wasn?t exactly the case here, but customer service isn?t their strong suit here.

A fresh and tasty lunch experience! Each lunch entree came with a salad and soup to start. Our meals arrived in bento boxes with generous portions. The egg drop soup was flavorful, and the salad dressing was fresh and vibrant. The kung pao chicken was perfectly seasoned and accompanied by white rice, a spring roll, sautéed vegetables, and more. The ambiance and service perfectly matched the quality of the food. Overall, a flawless dining experience with nothing to fault!
This restaurant offers a fantastic selection of vegan dishes, including salads, soups, and delicious plant-based meals with meat alternatives. I ordered the Beef with Broccoli and corn soup, and it was exactly what I was looking for. The flavors were excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant for vegans, vegetarians, and their non-vegan friends.
Dining at Kung Pao Bistro can be hit or miss, but there are plenty of options to choose from. It's an excellent choice for vegetarians, though not as suitable for vegans. The restaurant features a bar and offers free parking. Unfortunately, the SFV location is currently closed.
The best vegan drumsticks I've ever tasted, and I've tried them everywhere. The restaurant maintains excellent COVID safety measures. The vegetarian menu is absolutely delicious.

Best Chinese food in WeHo (and it is not particularly close). All I've ever ordered is delicious. Really delicious vegan options. Your whale shrimp is legit.
