we were at our first evening in the copper kettle and that was the best we could do. there are many and very delicious fish dishes. we all had something different and it was all delicious. an innovative kitchen- the potato/tubestampf was a real surprise and so delicious that we asked the friendly waitress right after the recipe, but unfortunately we were not betrayed ;-). a great start in our cuxhaven holiday! many thanks.

Amazing food, good portions and great and attentive service, Angelika Bernd. A blend of traditional german dishes. The Grünkohl was out of this world. 6/5 would go again. They also have apartments. Very clean and spacious. The location is very close to the beach, so very convenient for summer and for visiting the Wattenmeer. An amazing experience. we were at dinner with 5 people in the copper kettle. for our son there was a child card. the portion was sufficient for him. for us there were different fish variations that all tasted well.The service was attentive. all in all a recommendation to come back.

we were to eat in the copper boiler because it was recommended to us so,starter fish soup very delicious, then fish plate with bratkartoffels looked very good unfortunately the fish was too long roasted thereby to dry.Maybe you should have a soda ?

"Somehow the worm was in, and this year we did not like to introduce the kitchen in our house. So we decided to go early into various new guestros for us. So also here, in the restaurant and beer resort “Sturmflut” directly at the ferry terminal to Helgoland. The Storm Flood is another place of Cuxhaven gastronomic Jan Fitter, who also runs the lake terraces where we were very satisfied on Valentine's Day. The lake terraces are in sight, so we could expect top gastronomy again. Restaurant The reservation was also made online in this place, the confirmation by email was in the mailbox the next morning. So we went to the ferry port in the evening. If not a stormy flood, get the mobile base in the parking lot of the ferry terminal, a few parking spaces are also located right in front of the restaurant. With storm flood or flooding it is difficult to reach the place. When entering the building you feel like in a railway station hall, there are also tickets for the Helgoland ferry and the toilets of the restaurant "Sturmflut". The left hand is the entrance to the restaurant. Maritim modernly designed, you want to attract guests and shorten the possible waiting time for the ferry. Entrance to the restaurant We came to the restaurant and were greeted by a young team. The online booking was checked and then we were led by the lady responsible for us to our reserved place. The restaurant consists of the actual part of the building, where the large counter is also accommodated, a large conservatory adds to the restaurant. Both rooms were very well visited, kitchen and service had good to do. Here in the conservatory we sat at a large table, the softly padded chairs invite you to a longer stay. Despite the large glass surfaces was pleasantly warm, on the day you have a wonderful view from here directly into the ferry port and on the world shipping route. Winter garden The restaurant is modern, the lighting is a bit cumbersome, almost too dark. The extensive menu, similar to the sea terraces, was given to us during sitting, but after that we were not taken into account for a quarter of an hour. It was exchanged for a cola with carbonic acid, not a word of apology. Also the hint on the dirty table overheard the good lady. But probably she didn't recognize it when it was a shameful light. Drink selection of cutlery is parat Three minutes after our drinks came our supplies. But what was that? Sure is not easy to use, but that our soups were partially boiled in their bowls to the edge, not only looked unsightly, even the cream on the salmon cream soup was no longer in their place. Unlike the lake terraces where the fish soup was served in a closed ceramic pot, it came here in a large bowl. Again, the house bread was this dead slice of white bread. is not a clear soup, and you can see clearly the edge of Knapp 25 minutes later our main dishes came. Luckily there was nothing to swallow here. At least the plates were visually in order. My wife chose the fish plate “Small Storm Flood” today. The large fish plate was too much for her, but even the “small” had it in itself. Fish plate “Small Storm Flood” – roasted redfish fillet, salmon fillet, roasted potatoes and remoulade A large roasted redfish fillet and a salmon fillet that covered in size the redfish in nothing after half of the plate. Both fillets were crispy on the outside, both salmon and redfish were still very fresh and juicy inside. Both fish unfolded their own taste. Even with roast potatoes it was noticed that at least the kitchen had something on it. Self-made frying potatoes with bacon, onion and lynx, fried, slightly seasoned. And the best, not even fat. That's how we get roast potatoes. Also the Remoulade was good, although I was more of Convenience here. Fish plate “Small Storm Flood” – roasted redfish fillet, salmon fillet, roasted potatoes and Remoulade The Great had again taken up the Lachsburger. A large burger with 2 thick, juicy salmon fillets, fresh salad, cucumber and tomatoes was served. In the meantime roast onions and fresh, sharp onions. Lachsburger – Lachsfilet, Röstzwiebeln, rustikales Brötchen und Knobi-Dip mit Steakhouse-Pommes Top on the salmon fillet still a small stick of a dark remoulade. Since then, it doesn't make me go right and when I'm in the north, I'm trying to eat it. So here again in Cuxhaven, and here in the storm flood I have to say that the kitchen has on it. Labskaus has a great tradition and is a North German, regional speciality and consists of pork breast, potatoes and red beet root, which is boiled and then finally gelled by the meat grinder or the like, is seasoned with salt and pepper and served with eggs, spice cucumbers and roller mops. The kitchen is similar to the sea terraces, but with cleanliness and service Mr. Fitter must definitely improve. That's how the stars that you would have earned with ease disappear. Too bad."
