Having been to Peru this does not stack up as good Peruvian food. It’s not bad but nothing to write home about (I’ll write it here instead ha ha... . Portions of ceviche were small and not very flavourful. The mains of grilled seafood featured lots of the fake surimi stuff, very underwhelming. The pisco sour was certainly not up to Peruvian levels, but again not bad, just not the thing. Service inexplicably became very slow around dessert, making the dinner drag on well past 9.30 despite arriving before 8. Not recommended overall.
The service was good and the drinks were marvelous and the atmosphere was decent but after that nothing was good the ceviche was not fresh and we ordered two platers of food the fish was very old and cooked well overdone as to be burnt the other platter was seafood and had an off taste to it but i thought it was just i didn't like the salsa but was i had a very upset stomach at night so i know the seafood was bad too . It was the worst food i have eaten in Medellin.
I wanted to find a good pisco sour and that place serves an excellent one. I totally recommend it. For Medellin Gourmet they served two meals for one, so they offered us several options to combine textures. The flavors from the menu are really peruvian and the service is excellent. The venue is big enough to feel comfortable.
I know it's unfair to grade the restaurant based on the Menu Del Dia special, but I just wasn't that impressed. The lomo saltado was average. I kind of expected more given the place's reputation for Peruvian food. Maybe I need to go for dinner to get the full experience. Réservez une table maintenant
Went withfriends from Peru, the duchess and the girls. We ate ourselves under the table, Peru and his friend pronounced the food very good. I am somewhat an amateur, one visit to Lima and Machu Pichu only, so am no expert on the cuisine. However, al were full and happy!
I went there on my own already two times and tried the salmon dish called Salmón a lo macho and also the Chaufa de mariscos . Both were delisious and I defintly can recommend! Service is super friendly! Good work! I defenitly gonna try also the Ceviche the next time!
