I was able to get a table here without a reservation for dining under the stars. If you go early enough, you should not have any issues getting a street table. I have very limited French food experience outside of some delicious dishes I had on cruises and other special occasions. For our hors d'oeuvres, I had to try the Soupe a l'oignon aka the French Onion soup. French Onion soup is one of my favorite things on earth and it was the one exception I made when I stopped eating meat for over 3 years. (Beef broth). La Belle Epoque Cafe (Media) Brunch Review: I'm always on the lookout for a fantastic brunch spot, and it's tough to find a place that checks all the boxes for food, service, and atmosphere. I have to say, I had a delightful experience dining outside, enjoying delicious food, refreshing drinks, and great company. There were many options, but I opted for the La Mer crepe, which was filled with generous chunks of shrimp, lobster, and crab in a creamy Swiss cheese sauce. A bonus is that the crepes are made with buckwheat flour, making them naturally gluten-free! My husband went for the steak and eggs, which featured perfectly grilled hanger steak, two sunny-side-up eggs, and flavorful potatoes....
I love this adorable, French bistro right in the heart of Media! I came here for brunch last weekend and my friend and I loved our meals. We had reservations and were seated right away. I got one of their special drinks, which was a christmas mimosa. I loved it! It was super unique and the flavored ice cube melting is what gave it flavor. For my meal, I had their quiche of the day. It was asparagus, red pepper, and parmesan. It was SO GOOD! I loved how cheesy it was. The crust was crispy and the top was perfectly brown. I definitely recommend it! La Belle Epoque is a charming small restaurant with a romantic, dimly lit atmosphere. The soft blend of nostalgic and contemporary pop songs set a welcoming mood. However, it was sometimes difficult to hear the music over the noise from the adjoining sports bar, which seemed to be partially separated by heavy drapes.
I ordered the salmon, and while the portions were reasonable and cooked to perfection, the yellow squash and haricots were excessively salty. On the other hand, the onion soup was exceptional. The entrée prices were quite fair for the portions served.

very nice little restaurant on the corner in downtown media. We met on a Saturday night, so of course, parking was an issue, but I found what in space block away, so no big deal. We did not have a reservation, on a Saturday night, so we knew we were taking a chance. The hostess was, very helpful, she asked us if we would be finished by the time her next reservation for a table arrived at 7:30. We readily agreed, since it gave us plenty of time to select and enjoy a dinner, and then linger at the bar over dessert and another round of drinks.the food was tasty, the ambience was warm and inviting, and the service was great. We've always wanted to try La Belle Epoque and we're so glad we did!! Started with the muscles and wow, incredible, really tasty. We even asked for more of the satisfyingly warm rolls to sop up the delicious muscle broth. Next came our hanger steaks. WOW! The steak melted in my mouth. Can't wait to order this again! Plus the steak sauce and fires were perfect! Overall the server was very nice, attentive and recommended the steak muscles. (Great decision! Plus I tried their delicious wine and Kir Royal, both very good. We can't wait to return with friends!
The bartender was extremely nice. The eggplant appetizer was beyond terrible... Sitting at the bar was asked to slide down for two other people normally I never mind doing that...although now I'm sitting with all the drink garnish's right in front of me and felt cramped! Nobody's fault just got treated like a second citizen... Was thinking about ordering dinner but had nowhere to eat it
Love the food, especially their crepes, they have a wonderful wine list, however the staff are not always attentive or maybe just aren't trained well... inconsistent service seems to be what I experience here most, as opposed to inconsistent food quality. That aside, I've enjoyed my time here, and would return, if only for some wine at the bar and a crepe during brunch.

Absolutely love this place. We've been here for brunch, dinner, lunch etc. We've had almost everything on the menu and it's fantastic. The food is great, and the drinks are great. We couldn't be happier about La Belle being in our hometown.
Amazing! This was exceptional. I enjoyed the seabass special with artichokes and baby carrots. We also sampled the filet mignon, seafood risotto, and the crispy duck special. I can't wait to return!
