Always a good time at this French bakery. We've come here for years and it has become our go to spot for birthday cakes and special celebrations. It's a feast to the eyes with those beautifully decorated cakes, macarons, cookies, pound cakes, croissants and other sweets. The bakery area is always cleaned and sometimes quite crowded, but they have now incorporated a number ticket system. So make sure if you plan to buy bakery, take a number then walk and browse, because they will serve you by the ticket number you have! Our family has always loved this bakery, well until yesterday evening. My husband got an anniversary cake for us there on Friday. Strawberry black forrest! This used to be my favorite cake. When we started to put sliced cake on our plates a bunch of raw flour went everywhere. We were shocked. Kids already started to eat it. Over the last 30 years, I have been to La Bonne Bouchee many times for both breakfast, lunch and dinner or to get some bakery treats. Now the 'coffee bar is open with questionable results. First, it was either the owner or manager behind the counter and he did not have a clue as to what he was doing. He went back and forth to the kitchen to make the coffee. He was definitely out in the weeds not really knowing what was up or what he was doing. I have been to La Bonne Bouchee multiple times. Typically I'll just go to the pastry line and bring stuff home. Some of my favorite pastries la Bonne bouchee has: vanilla eclair apple and pecan lattice ham and cheese croissant gooey butter cake brownie cheesecake I have not personally tried the large assortment of cakes or macarons but they all look amazing! There is every flavor imaginable on the macarons! I also recently found out they do miniature size in a lot of the pastries. I think it would be fun to get an assortment of them for an event! I visited on a Saturday for lunch with a group of six, and the café easily accommodated our larger party with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. There were numerous meal and à la carte choices available. Most of us started with the freshly made French onion soup, which was rich and creamy, topped with generous amounts of cheese—everyone raved about its deliciousness! The servers! Sometimes it looks like choreography; they work so well (and quickly) serving the guests. We love this place. Breakfast, lunch, brunch. They have excellent options and specials. The soups are fabulous! It's always a good experience. Inside or outside , the ambiance is tres bien!
Got delivery from here for breakfast. Everything is bland. The potatoes are soft and microwaved. The omlette has no flavours. Stick to bakery cause the meals here are horrible. You'd get better at McDonald's Edit. I tried the bakery items and they are stale! Wtf happened to this place
Food is always consistent, service is good, and it's a fun place with music that sticks in my head and I sing along to all day. Best part: pastries, duh.
