La Casa Tropical

Just a short visit to Chartres, looking for a restaurant in the Cathedral area we got this nice restaurant. The food, I recommend colombo, was excellent, like the one prepared by people from Guadaloupe. The decoration is very nice, with bright colours. The service was great, the server has spent some time with us talking about Cap-Vert, his home country

We came across this place late at night. The street was quiet but the lively atmosphere inside drew us in. The owner was inviting and very hospitable. We drank mojitos all night, played on the bongo drums, and even danced with the owner. It was a highlight of our time in Chartres.

None of the restaurants and brasseries we found were quite pulling us in when we found La Casa Tropical. It is a bit different, the service is friendly and the atmosphere good. So if you are in Chartres and have a jaded palate, this place is recommended.

Dropped in here on a one night stop over in Chatres. Food was excellent and an interesting alternative to the usual French and Italian fare. Staff were very friendly and helpful to some non-fluent French speakers.

Hier soir j'ai mangé avec ma copine dans ce restaurant,les plats sont trop bons ,le patron et la saveuse sont cool surtout la serveuse est professionnelle patiente gentille tjrs avec la souriante
