We visited the restaurant on a weeknight without planning ahead. We were looking for a quick place to eat after shopping, and we were pleasantly surprised by the freshness and flavors of everything we ordered. The dishes reminded us of the delicious food we enjoyed while in Mexico! The use of cheese was moderate, and the peppers didn’t have overpowering heat. For those who prefer more spice, a hot sauce was available on the side. True Mexican food made to order. Not texmex. Many veg options that are very flavorful. There is a small mexican grocery store next to the restaurant. They also serve tacos and chips and burritos. Once seayed thete is no rush to turn over the table. The food commes directly to the kitchen adjacent to the dinnig room so food that is supposed to be hot actually is! Nice little family-owned, BYO, Mexican restaurant on busy Rt. 70. Pretty tight quarters with about 10 tables. The empanadas are worth the trip, as are the street tacos and fajitas. Consistently good. If you order food to go, it is ready exactly at the time they give you.
