Unfortunately, the customer seemed intent on demanding exactly what they imagined, rather than being open to the professionals' suggestions. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying my son's two-tier engagement cake, and it was absolutely delicious! It was beautifully decorated by Sophia, and everything was just perfect. I sampled cakes from three different bakeries, but La Dolce in Old Bridge, NJ stood out with their fresh, naturally flavored fillings and icing, all at extremely reasonable prices. We ordered vanilla cakes filled with French cream and fresh berries, topped with whipped cream icing, and it was simply delightful—definitely worthy of five stars! I can't thank Sophia and La Dolce enough for their patience, professionalism, and the pride they take in their work. I highly recommend them for any special occasion!

It’s painfully obvious the bakery tried to guide this person in the right direction (because they’re professionals), but the customer went with, “I want what I want so just give it to me,” and then weren’t happy with the results. What a jerk.Amazingly helpful and professional establishment. Beautiful, delicious cake for my daughter’s bday. I felt compelled to respond after seeing a review this morning that went unanswered. The person who wrote that review clearly doesn't know what they're talking about. I've been coming to this place for years, and we absolutely love it. The food is outstanding, and the staff who run the place and serve customers every day are even better. I'm proud to say that these people are as top-notch as their ingredients. This is my go-to bakery, and I won't be looking anywhere else. Please don’t pay attention to reviews from entitled individuals. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

the two-stage engagement cake of my sohnes was sooo delicious, classically beautifully decorated by sophia. just perfect! I tried three bakeries and la dolce in the old bridge nj had the freshest, natural tasting fillings and icing with extremely reasonable praises. we ordered vanilla cake with french cream/freshberry filling and whipped cream icing, Delish-five star? I cannot thank sophia and la dolce enough for their patient, professionalism and proud of their product. very recommended special occasions.
I purchased two pastries from the bakery and brought them home, only to discover that they were stale and left over from the previous day. I returned to the bakery to request a refund, but the seller refused to give me my money back, offering only store credit instead. It is disappointing that a place would not honor a customer's request for a refund, especially for just $5.
Absolutely delicious 2 tier cake for my son's engagement party. Sophia decorated it beautifully !! with the fresh roses I brought in the day before. Vanilla cake French cream with fresh strawberries and blueberries +whipped cream icing sooo yummy. I will always get my cakes from la dolce in old bridge. Highly recommend
We bought choc mousse cake for my cousin's birthday from this bakery and it turned out to be the best one. Everyone liked the cake so much. Will definitely revisit this place to try other varieties.

Cheesecake is gluten-free and delicious. Cindy has a great work on the decorations for my daughters 21. Birthday and my daughter loved it. So glad to have a place like this close to home.
This was my first time at this restaurant and it was the best cannoli I have ever had. The staff was very friendly.
