We have enjoyed meals here in previous years but from what I see from the new management will not be returning. The pizza was not bad but the service a disappointment. Having family in France and traveling here frequently I am always impressed with the overall kindness and quality of service in bars, restaurants and businesses. Often I find my self defending against stereotypical views many harbor of snarky, supercilious service and fortunately it is very much the exception. I always feel a bit guilty leaving a negative review as mine are overwhelmingly positive and maybe my experience was an aberration but perception is reality for customers...maybe some insight can be gained by the establishment regarding customer service.
The waitresses and kitchen staff do not seem aligned. We had ordered two pizza's. After 1 hour the waitress asked us if we had eaten already. We thought this was a weird question since it is her job to deliver the food. She apologized and explained there was an issue in the kitchen. Other guests started complaining about the waiting time and one table even left without having dinner at all. After 75 minutes our two pizza's arrived. One we didn't order, but we did not mention this, because we didn't want to wait another hour. The taste of the pizza's was very good. Thin crust, crunchy and tasty ingredients. I would recommend to go here, but do order a bottle of wine that you can enjoy while you wait.
Always a good choice. Can't count anymore how many times we've been ... Just with the family or with friends. The place is ran by a great couple ... Service is brilliant ... Food is excellent. To recommend: escargots, tartare, steak and great pastas pizzas. Good wine selection (ask Alex! and good deserts. So if you are around, definitely pay a visit!
Being vegetarians, there is little choice in Les Rousses other than pizza. The pizzas here were good, nice toppings and reasonably priced. €5 for a small bowl of salad is too steep though- especially when it is only a bowl of dressed lettuce and 2 pieces of tomato. Nice cosy atmosphere, friendly staff.
