My experience here was unsatisfactory. Right off the bat, my server is unfriendly and not attentive. The food was ok, my beans were cold and fried plantains were disappointing. The plantains looked disgusting, they were extremely burnt and I’m not sure how anyone could serve food that barely looks edible. My server did not check up on us and was sat at the table behind me watching videos on her phone.. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant if you expect good service and I don’t plan on coming back.
Food was good. Nice little spot. Unfortunately the service was bad. The girl that served us waited 5 minutes to ask for our order, when we said not yet, she came back 10 minutes later. Once our food came out she never checked on us again. We had to get up to ask the other girl for to-go plates, for the check and eventually pay her. All while the original girl sat at the counter on her phone eating. Completely forgot about us.
Enjoyed the food a lot large serving for a very good price (everything pictured for about 12 . Got bacalao (salted cod with rice (I think arroz con gandules but it may have been normal peas? , salad, and frijoles. Counter serve, but I think certain things come out to order. A fresh batch of rice came out of the kitchen as I was leaving and I kind of wish I ordered more.
I don’t know what some of these people are talking. Im Puerto Rican and this place is amazing! Authentic! I swear my mother was back there cooking. Delicious. Anyone can have an off day. So far every visit here for the past few years has been well worth it.

The baked chicken was so tender and delicious. The white rice and bean so flavorful. Ive been coming here since I was a kid the food is always top tier.
The mofongo- chícharon was the best Ive ever head. That says a lot because I am a 61 year old Puerto Rican. The portions were quite generous as well.
The mofongo was a total let down, I don’t know who serves Mofongo without any sauce. Super dry! Don’t recommend any of the mofongos here!
The food tasted great! I love how juicy the steak was and the texture of the yuca was cooked to perfection! My lunch was awesome :
