We visited the Pulperia La Isla with the family after consulting Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. The Pulpo a la Mugardesa was delicious as were the mussels, both fresh and very well prepared. Good portions as well. The brown rye bread served was typical of the area and was also excellent. To make things even nicer, the waiter was very patient, friendly and helpful, advising on the size of portions (half portion of a salad because the 1 portion would be too big—and he was right! . And most important of all: I would have lost my cell phone if it hadn’t been for him! Thank you! There were two other same style restaurants right next to La Isla, but seemed half empty. We were tempt...
Fuimos a comer 3. Hubo un pequeño fallo con la comanda, pero lo solucionaron rapidamente. Pedimos Buñuelos, Pulpo Crujiente, Navajas, Croquetas y Raxo de Cabrales. Los buñuelos y el pulpo crujiente nos sorprendieron para bien, el resto estaba todo rico. De postre tarta de 3 chocolates y tarta de la abuela. Estaban bien. Unos 70€ por todo, con cafés. Si volvemos a estar por la zona, repetiremos sin duda. Arrived in the lovely Mugardos on a hot day looking for lunch....the Pulperia la Isla was full of people eating both inside and outside and obviously very popular, but luckily we found 2 outside seats!! Ordering was interesting at a full bar and food was served by loudspeaker calling your table number....luckily other diners were kind enough to help us listen for our number!! The food was hearty...big portions and very good; the waiter advised half portions to share. A thoroughly enjoyable 'Spanish ' tapas/lunch experience.
Súper! Fuimos mi pareja y yo, nos atendió Paula, que supo orientarnos perfectamente sobre que comer y cantidad (no queriendo que pidamos de más y que sobre comida solo por vender más), además ha sido super amable en todo momento. Pedimos medias raciones, gambón plancha, almejas salsa, zamburiñas de la ria, pulpo a la brasa y navajas, riquísimo!

La comida muy recomendada. El pulpo a la mugadesa es una delicia y el vino estaba muy rico. Aquí no se puede hacer nada malo, todo muy rico y la atención muy buena.
If you want to try pulpo this is the place and village to be in all of Galicia! Also try the zamburinas a la plancha, and you will be in heaven finally.

El local es amplio y tiene 4 mesas en terraza, a orillas del mar, un lujo... Las raciones son abundantes y la comida bien elaborada...
