La Michoacana - Réserver une table

OK, looks like Boyes Hot Springs is a hotbed of great Mexican food. After having lunch add El Molino Central, see my review, how could I pass up the chance to try some Mexican ice cream? So I took about a 10 minute walk from the restaurant down to La Michoacana. So glad I did. I had the Mexican caramel ice cream. Very creamy and caramel-y. Flavorful and good. I was still quite full from from lunch, but of course I had to do Quality Control. So I ordered a paleta (popsicle) to go, chongos aka custard. This was also delicious. They'll wrap it for you in foil if you have more self-control than I do and are going a shorter distance than I would be going. I probably wouldn't come all the way here...

I was out to grab a toothbrush since I'd forgotten mine on a recent trip to the area and this provided the perfect opportunity to check out La Michoacana. I'd spotted them on a previous visit and knew I wanted to check them out. My fav dessert in this wine region is the rice pudding at Bistro Jenty in Yountville, so I knew I would try the rice pudding paleta here. It did not disappoint. Perf little summer treat on a warm night. Highly recommend! Service was fast and friendly!

Best ice cream and their staff is awesome. The Mexican vanilla is especially special, I keep coming back for like five years for it!!

Delicious paleta took me back to Mexico when I had this. Super cute spot too. Friendly service as well.
