Have not gone back since the change of ownership until yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised by the improvements. The food was great except the beef milanese, it wasn't bad but just not to the same standard of other dishes we ordered. The veal chops, the risotto dishes and the fried zucchini were excellent. I was excited to see a vegan strawberry crumble on their menu so I decided to get it for takeout. Received a cold, liquid-y hodgepodge of strawberries and nuts which TBH looked like a bunch of frozen strawberries were allowed to thaw out with some walnuts! My family and I hosted a lunch for family and friends in memory of my Mom who passed during the pandemic. The team at La Panetteria was fantastic with attention to details (microphone for speakers, great menu options and ordering process for guests). Our guests told us they all loved the food, service, atmosphere and family oriented feel. We previously hosted a baby shower and anniversary dinner both were equally great.
Went there last night after seeing great reviews, the staff was super friendly and the ambiance was really cute! We were a bit disappointed in the food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The steak was decent, however the risotto was more cheese than risotto, I could not eat it. The bread was good, but could have been a generic store bought loaf. Hopefully it was a one off instance, but I probably wouldn't go back. Réservez une table maintenant
For decades this was our go-to Italian restaurant, and it was always brimming with diners, but the new owners changed the menu entirely, and nothing on it appeals to us. Why didn't they change the name, as long as they were dumping everything else that made Panetteria a favorite?
