La Petite Folie

We just held our wedding reception at La Petite Folie, after having eaten there twice, once in November when it was chilly and we sat by the woodstove, and once in March. We give this atypical spot an enthusiastic recommendation. The environment is the Parc de Saint Cloud, so it is out of the way, unless you happen to be attending the Rock en Seine music festival :-)That said, if you have done the major Paris visits and have some time to discover the near suburbs, as they are known, this is a good choice to begin with. The park is lovely, and offers nice views of Paris, especially at sunset. Saint Cloud is an upscale town, but nonetheless has its own Lidl (a low-cost supermarket based in Germany), just by way of contrast. La Petite Folie is what I would call unpretentious but very nice, with a menu created at least in part by a young woman chef from Spain who has good ideas, and has not forgotten vegetarians along the way. The wines are also good, we chose a Saint Emilion to go with our wedding luncheon and several guests thanked us later. A nice touch that I did not notice the first time around is that there is a tree growing in the middle of the restaurant, talk about a woodsy atmosphere... There you have it in a nutshell, the staff and manager/owner(?) are pleasant and on a nice day it is a good spot to stop and either have a drink or something more substantial. For those of you that like to go off the beaten path, this is not too, too off, but nonetheless sufficiently so that your experience will be more that of a local than a tourist.Bon appetit!

A tenter... Perso après plusieurs essais non concluants, je crois ne vouloir y retourner que pour son cadre.Même avec une réservation nous avons attendu et nous n'avons pas été avisés qu'il n'y avait plus les plats que nous avions choisis. Ils se sont arrangés pour modifier les deux plats manquants...Pas terrible, niveau service client et satisfaction client.Et pourtant, ils jouissent d'un cadre très sympathique, qui à mon avis n'est pas assez bien exploité. Ne vous étonnez pas si vous ne vous sentez pas à l'aise, c'est le cadet de leur service, par contre profitez de cet endroit pour y boire un café en fin de saison, c'est un pur délice (pas le café, juste les couleurs chatoyantes des arbres et les ombres joueuses sur les tables).

Nous voulions prendre un verre et manger une gaufre cet après-midi, la prise de commande était rapide, mais la première erreur était la glace au lieu d'un coca, le serveur affirmait que c'était ce qui avait été commandé, étonnant non ? Ensuite, après avoir commandé des cafés allongés, le serveur les apporte et les confond, ils seront changés pour être sûrs. Le serveur vient trois fois avant d'avoir servi la table pour réclamer la note... Le coca arrive sans glaçons, ils seront réclamés trois fois. Pour la gaufre, désolé, nous n'en avons plus. Cadre magnifique, dommage, mais les restaurants sont une catastrophe une fois de plus. Heureusement, aujourd'hui nous avions fait un pique-nique!

C'est le printemps et tout à coup, on a bien sûr envie d'aller déjeuner dehors !Direction Parc de Saint Cloud, restaurant la petite folie.C'est clair qu'on est pas les seuls à avoir eu la même idée ;))On a une table ultra sympathique face à toutes les fontainesLes plats sont... corrects et effectivement chers (mais que ne donnerait-on pour le cadre)!Le service est aussi sympathique qu'il est lent ! (mais c'est surbooké)!Bref, on y retournera surement... les premiers jours du printemps prochain

Aucun sens du service client et des personnes totalement mal aimables. Ces individus exploitent l'environnement sans aucune conscience professionnelle. Les employés semblent complètement agacés par la clientèle. Une véritable horreur ! À éviter...
