El local no es muy grande (conviene reservar , es alargado, con una zona de bar en la que se puede tapear, y al fondo se abre un poco en forma rectangular, donde se encuentran unas 6-8 mesas habilitadas como comedor del restaurante. It took us three days in Leon to finally stumble across this beautiful little square just within the Roman walls of the old city. On a sunny day in Leon, even in late December, I couldn't think of more beautiful and relaxing setting to enjoy a drink and tasty tapa. The waiters at La Picotera were really friendly and attentive considering that the six tables in the square were full and everybody was drinking at a rapid pace. Regarding the tapas, I would strongly recommend the chicken broth and the meatballs. The house white from La Tierra de Leon is also excellent and costs 1,80€. Delicious food, excellent vegetables and steak cooked over a charcoal grill, washed down with a great wine (Petalos) in a really magical square. We ate on the Terrace at moonlight, lovely views in an incredibly beautiful, yet quiet setting. The waiters were very helpful and friendly. We would recommend it.
