La Spaghettata - Réserver une table

I had no idea where I was going to eat on Lygon St during my recent trip to Melbourne. I figured you can't go wrong and would just pick something randomly.The host who greeted me was super friendly (it was very co-incidental, but I had met him earlier that day at a furniture expo!) and introduced me to his father, the proud owner.Fabio (the host) suggested I try the minestrone, which did not disappoint. Loved it! But I could not find something that I wanted as a mains, so they were more than happy to make something up for me that was not on the menu. I had a mushroom risotto and while it was lovely, I couldn't finish it because the portion was so generous. The wine he recommended was also fabulous.The staff were very attentive.

We went to this restaurant because the one we wanted had a line up. Boy, am I glad we couldn't get in because this restaurant was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken and mushroom pasta, my daughter had the bolognaise and my mum also had a pasta dish. All three were fabulous. Mine was so nice I wanted to order another serve of it. The service was great and the restaurant was warm. Thanks for a lovely meal. Will go again.

This part of Carlton is teaming with restaurants ll vying for your attention, it's difficult then to choose a good one.
