La Table Des Vignerons

We were staying in a gite at Trausse and this was really the only place to eat out without having to jump in a car. Be warned whilst we were there in June it was not open on Mondays, Tuesdays or Sunday evening. (Not sure if this alters in high season). It is, however, well worth seeking out when it is open for the friendly welcome and great food attracting locals as well as visitors. We ate there twice, the first time on the very pleasant terrace where we chose off the main menu, enjoying a memorable shellfish risotto and a superb if very filling cassoulet. The second occasion we ate indoors (which is surprisingly spacious) due to a dramatic thunderstorm raging outside. It was a 'tapas ' night again obviously popular with the locals and we chose a variety of dishes, ordering as and when throughout the evening. Particularly enjoyed the oysters and the lobster croquettes but none of the food was disappointing. The staff were all incredibly cheerful and hard working, contributing to a great atmosphere. Would love to return! Highly recommended. The only reason I haven 't given five stars is because of its limited opening hours...

Excellent meal. We had the top dish on the a la carte menu, the cote de Black Angus to share. It was cooked to perfection on the open log fire and served with sauce of choice and French fries on a wood platter between us. We also had a half carafe of house red and chocolate home made desert. Delicious! Nice spacious restaurant with open fire, comfortable chairs, pleasant service. No wine list, you are invited to choose what you would like from the extensive range of wines on display a different and rather nice concept Warmly recommend if you enjoy simply cooked meat.

Under new ownership this restaurant on the outskirts of Trausse, a few kms from Caunes-Minervois, is more than worth a visit. Lunchtime formule menu of three copious courses for 15€ is outstanding value for money considering the quality of the cooking. Dishes are both traditional French and those given a north African twist. The restaurant also puts on regular Friday night events with live music. Owners are welcoming, the food is delicious, and there is a large outdoor terrace.

Visiting the Aude Herault area, we came across this wonderful family run restaurant. The atmosphere was inviting, appeared to be local people out enjoying their Friday evening. Service was super, food amazing... we sampled their tuna and duck, both cooked to perfection. We both left happy customers and would like to suggest you stop by too, if you want a genuinely exceptional meal. Merci beaucoup...

I would have liked to give 0. We booked for ten people online and received a confirmation and a reminder only to find that they were closed for the holidays. Many other people were similarly disappointed. Give it a miss it’s a disaster
