This week i ve visited Evolene. Alone!! It was mid day and i was hungry. So i ve entered the first Restaurant that had the Doors opened. Service was very friendly, i could hear the Joy of the persons sitting at the other tables(by the way, the restaurant was fully booked every Time one of the stuff brought the food. I ve ordered a Cordon Bleu, and some Rice and vegetables and the plate was delicious. Price was fair too, i ve payed around 30 chf for a decent Lunch. What I ve noticed îs their pizza list, and also that the restaurant was booked by persons that live/work there, which reminded me of The restaurant o ve visited în North Italy some months ago. We followed the recommendation from a local and walked into the restaurant, located in an old hostel. The decor reminds of a modern chalet, lacks a little bit of true atmosphere, but you know you are in the mountains, especially as many locals seem to settle here for food or drinks. The menu spans large, from pizza and salad, to more seasonal game and nice meat. We decided for cheese dishes and we found it fairly good, but not fully convinced. I guess that we need to try the meat, as it seems to be the specialty of the house. Service was friendly and the owner comes frequently to discuss and check all is fine.
We had lunch here out on the terrace. Here you’re really made to feel welcome the service was extremely attentive and the food very good and plentiful. I had the mushroom feuilleté as main course and it came with a delicious mixed salad starter followed by the mushroom feuilleté which included carrots cauliflower broccoli and rice! I only wish I had had room for a dessert! Very good address at very reasonable price.
As soon as you enter the room you feel well. The room out of stone and wood gives a nice ambiance going well with the friendly staff. Cooking is simply great and service very friendly. On the top of that you can try some great Wallis wines (try the Inferno). I was visiting the place a few time and will certainly go back. Réservez une table maintenant
