We arrived in Tarifa to catch the ferry to Tangier and had no idea where to find some good food. We followed our noses down the street and began to review menus at a number of indoor/outdoor restaurants. As we walked by La Ternera Mimosa, we saw smiling diners digging into good looking dishes. A waiter came out to greet us and explain the daily specials. We are sure glad that we decided to give them a try. The waiter was expremely friendly and helpful. Out group ordered pork ribs, beef steaks and chicken. We shared tastes,and couldn't agree on which one was best...they all were great! Oh yeah, and the beer was cold. They first of all told us that this was the only restaurant where they grilled the meat on cole. The steak later tasted like microwave warmed meat from the deepfreezer. It was not even tender and was served way too fast. I took a typical fish from Tarifa. It wad not grilled at all. It tasted like they just cooked the whole fish for a short time. The waiters were friendly though but that is the only positive thing I can tell. It is a big tourist trap!
Thanks to Giuseppe, who works there and who wooed me inside, I had the best so far steak in my life! A fatty skin must be eaten! Along with a starter, mozzarella buffalo, and some grilled potatoes and a massive piece of meat, I could hardly finish it off... Fernando, the dog, helped me with the last piece. Lucky him! The second limoncello was on the house. One needs at least two to be able to digest it all. Great place and people. Thank you.
We enjoyed a nice dinner here. The food was tasty and the service was reasonable. The only issue is that there machine accept any of our credit cards. We had used our card before and after so it wasn't our card. There machine wasn't working but the waitress blamed our card. Not sure if they just wanted to be paid in cash or what the issue was.

I live in Spain for two years and i love sea food.. Here i had the tastiest Galician style octopus i have ever eaten. All the food very fresh and tasty. Mozzarella salad delicious.Staff super attentive friendly. Thank you for a lovely lunch.
Lovely restaurant with even lovelier staff very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The meat is fantastic, so tender and moist. A must place to eat if you are in Tarifa or well worth taking a trip.
We stopped for a drink on the way back from watching the kite surfers down the coast. Not much to review. Just the best sangria we've had after 2 weeks in Spain. And cheap. And full of booze
I love steaks! But really, I almost threw up when trying to eat what they gave me eventhough I was so hungry I gave it back and decided to rather starve
