After a long drive up the windy road I was disappointed to find that my GPS needs an update. The only hotel in the village is closed down. Since I needed wifi to do a little research and find another hotel, I stopped in at La Tour to have a beer and enjoy the sunshine. The woman behind the bar seemed annoyed that someone would want to give her business on a Monday afternoon even though she was clearly open until 10. I asked her "Vous avez wifi?" She responded "Non" and handed me my beer which was 1/5 head and not nearly filled to the top. I was surprised when "La Tour" popped up as available wifi. I know that people know how to be friendly and helpful in small villages in France but this lady needs a lesson...and to be taught how to pour a beer.
Accueil très sympathique par la patronne. Nous avons mangé une souris d'agneau accompagnéablée d'un gratin de courgettes. Un vrai délice.un fondant au chocolat et un café le tout accompagné d"un vin rosé. Un grand merci à cette dame et à son cuisinier qui nous ont permis de passer un agréable moment sur la terrasse ombragée.
village a voir absolument sur les hauteurs de Menton vaut le detour ,et sur la place un petit restaurant bien sympa ,cuisine de famille ,servi par la patronne ,prix tres raisonnable ,n'hesiter pas a redescendre a Menton par les sentiers ,vue imprenable sur la mer et au passage manger des oranges nous reviendrons
If you're looking for a small cozy restaurant for lunch this could be a good choice. We stopped by on our hiking trip from Ste Agnès to Menton and i had a mozzarella salad and a glass of rosé wine. The meal was not fancy by any means, but felt authentic, and tasted well. Well worth the stop for our part.
