La Verte Campagne

My wife and I arrived early afternoon from the Cherbourg ferry and were warmly welcomed. The weather was hot, so we asked if we could sit in the 'Jardin Fleurie' and have tea. This was provided promptly. Our room was large and comfortable, with ensuite facilities. Dinner in a small dining room with a large Bretonne ( Should be Normandy ) style open fireplace, was a wonderful introduction to France. The Foie Gras starter was superb as was the rest of the meal. A bottle of Pouilly Fume at E28.50 was good value. This place is certainly not easy to find and not within walking distance of the village, but it is a very relaxing environment and well worth the effort if travelling through Normandy. You will not be disappointed.

arrived for dinner, no problem to find this place because very well dipped from the town of Trelly. The welcome is warm with a meal at the corner of the fire extactic...Funnel,monsieur at service...a consistent association!Madame may cook (cup of duck with vegetables)for my part.We will return!

Niché dans la campagne cet hotel est très calme et son propriétaire délicieux avec son petit accent anglais. Son épouse qui cuisine nous a régalés d'un excellent diner. Excellent rapport qualité/prix.

very small restaurant, only 4 tables. reservation is recommended. the owner is very nice and as a girl for everything full in its element. the food was excellent. we felt comfortable.
