Invited here by a supplier, as it was a lovely evening in mid-June. We got a table at the outside, just facing the promenade along Lake Constance (Bodensee), enjoying the views and doing some crowd watching (the crowds were not that big, as it was...out of the main season). Service was quick, polite, and attentive without hovering. I went for a starter which either can be a mediocre experience or really good; Vitello Tonnato. Here they managed to make it absolutely fine perfectly boiled and very tender pink veal and the tuna sauce was made with the right amounts of tuna, capers and a becoming acidity, which some tends to forget. Please do not get me wrong. We enjoyed the food at La Vita this evening. However, we didn't feel pleasant about the attitude of a male staff. Since we couldn't read any german, I asked him to suggest some recommendation. He was initially very...friendly, then as time passes, he became very impatient. After taking our order, he was publicly saying out OH MY GOSH Maybe he was unpleasant about spending time on taking order but this action did not give us a good impression. As a Party of for a small Family celebration, we had a very nice evening out at the La Vita. We had reserved a table inside (they don't take reservations for outside), but since the weather was excellent, the waitress helped us to a...large enough table outside. For starters the waitress had suggested to take the tapas plate originally for two, but sharing it between the eight of us was perfect with the main course still coming up. We had different choices for the main dish some fajitas, burger, and also pasta. Everyone was very happy with the quality of the food. We will certainly come back again.
My wife and I had lunch on the nice coloured terrace of this Italian restaurant and enjoyed both very good different salades in combination with very tasty dressings. An excellent view to the Bodensee, all people passing by and the ferries arriving. The services are...friendly and keen on signals of customers. This is by far the best restaurant on the promenade. Firstly, the food is not great. It has made my friends and myself sick before. But the service is times worse than the food. We had a very rude waiter who even ripped us off. They never accept credit card. My friend did not...not hear and when he asked to pay by card, he was shouted at. Awful.
