I recently revisited Lo Voile a French bistro I last dined at five years ago, hoping to relive fond memories of delicious cuisine. Unfortunately, my return visit was a letdown in every way possible.Starting with the onion soup, I was expecting a rich and flavorful broth, but what I got was bland and watery. It lacked the depth and savoriness that should define a good French onion soup. The escargots, which were a highlight of my previous visit, were similarly disappointing. They were overcooked and lacked the garlic and herb butter's usual vibrant taste, leaving them rather rubbery and tasteless.The main courses were no better. I was looking forward to a nice French cuisine dining experience and it was also to celebrate a birthday. We ordered our Escargo and though it was prepared well in pesto sauce, it did not sit on a pastry that we were accustomed, but was offered bread. The escargo was good but as tasty as I would have liked,,,lacked garlic taste. The risotto appetizer was tasty, though the rice was not as soft as I had expected. The service was nice and friendly. It was a birthday Dinner and wanted a delicious dinner. Unfortunately, the dinner was not remarkable. The escargot was good but not tasty. The braised beef was tough and the sauce/gravy was a bit too thick and salty. The duck entree was flavorful but the duck was unusually tough. The risotto was tasty but al dente was a bit too al dente. Had many French dinners and this one was unfortunately not to my standards. Too bad because it seems like a quaint place to dine.
One of the best restaurant I've been in Boston. The atmosphere is authentic, service is polite and flexible and food is genuine.I would be back here at dinner time.P.S. I would love to add my great appreciation. After my visit, I had a small trouble about payment due to my mistake, but I was so amazed by their kind support! Thank you La Voile management team! I will definitely be back.

The food was fantastic and the staff are incredible, everyone is super friendly and helpful. They also recently updated their menu, very happy to see le casoulet on the list. Additionally, they continue to make phenomenal classics that they've had for a while, such as their foie gras and escargot. Highly recommend both and the restaurant overall!
The most romantic and intimate restaurant my partner and I have been to in a long time. Our service was excellent and they helped us pair our meals with a beautiful red wine. Our food was delicious and they surprised us with a glass of Armagnac at the end! We will definitely be coming back I’m so happy we found this gem of a place!

My husband and I loved this restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Everybody was extremely nice and we had a wonderful night thanks to them.

Authentic French food. attentive service. Dietary restrictions: My friend did not eat sugar they brought a bowl of fresh berries for her dessert.
