I was presently surprised by this place. We just wanted a good place for lunch on Mother's Day and that's exactly what we got! They had a good selection of choices from cold cut sandwiches with different types of bread to Turkey stuffing sandwiches (gobbler) to Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. The place had ample seating. The table even had a picture of Lake Winnipeaske underneath. Prices were decent to average. And the sandwiches were BIG!! I was expecting a little thing but these things are fillers!! I barely finished!! Just delicious all around. Also you couldn't beat the view of Center Harbor. Would have been nice outside on a warm summers day. Staff was very courteous. We visit this restaurant frequently because the food and views are great, but today we encountered an unpleasant experience with a rude staff member. We parked at the town docks and walked to a nearby grocery store to grab some drinks for later, then decided to have lunch here. When we placed our order, the person at the counter asked if we wanted drinks, and when we responded with a no, she pointed to a sign on the counter that stated no outside drinks in a rather aggressive manner, and then proceeded to read it aloud. I rarely drink while eating and had no intention of doing so today. In sit-down restaurants, the wait staff often look at me oddly and question my choice not to order a drink...
This charming little sandwich shop is simply perfect! The stunning views of the lake add to the experience. The service was outstanding—so warm and welcoming. We crafted our own sandwich with turkey, ham, lettuce, tomato, onion, and smoked Gouda, topped off with garlic aioli on grilled sourdough. It was huge and delicious; I could only finish half, which made for fantastic leftovers. We also tried the grilled cheese, which was equally delicious. This is the ideal spot to visit after a morning of swimming or kayaking, or a great pit stop during road trips. It was thoroughly enjoyable, and I’ll definitely return when I’m in the area!
Found this lunch spot through a Yelp search and the sandwiches were terrific. I enjoyed the Becky's Garden Grille special that was overflowing with grilled vegetables. Be prepared for a messy sandwich though, as it was dripping with juices. We were there for lunch on a Wednesday at midday and they were fairly busy. Their system is to order at the counter and then the meals are brought to your table. We had about a 15-minute wait. The quality of the food made it worth it. Also the wait staff was very pleasant to us. The view out to Lake Winnipesaukee was beautiful!

What a fantastic sandwich shop right by the lake! It was just what we needed after exploring Meredith. We were impressed by its impressive 4.5-star rating, which is definitely justified. They have a wonderful selection of sandwiches, salads, and more, plus dog-friendly outdoor seating. The server even treated our dog to some bacon! Our favorite was the Mount Washington, featuring roast beef and boursin—a classic pairing! The fries were also an unexpected delight. The service was prompt, and the seating is self-serve. Overall, we had a great experience!
Our food arrived at the table in under ten minutes, but I received the wrong salad—a Caesar instead of the Lakeside. Rather than complain and wait longer, I chose to just go with it. The view of the lake and distant hillside from the outdoor picnic tables was lovely, although the table umbrellas weren’t very secure and two of them nearly tipped over in the light breeze. The drink selection was limited and came from a cooler, with no coffee available, but after lunch, we took a short walk to Dunkin' Donuts for some coffee.
Visiting for a few days and wanted to try a local spot. So happy we did. By far the best veggie burger I have ever had. My husband got the house Italian sandwich and it also reached his top 3 favorites as well. Sad I live far and can't have this daily . Also beautiful view and awesome friendly staff. Definitely recommend
Amazing sandwiches, friendly staff, quick service, and a lovely view from the outdoor seating. What’s not to love? Plus, if you’d like coleslaw on your sandwich, they’ll happily accommodate that!
