we loved this place outside and inside. start with outside: beautiful sunny terrace (if there are sun) and relatiw protected from wind. in the inner real Swiss cozy stable “luxified”. but then the real wow factors: 1. personal super-friendly, fast and knowledgeable. ask them always...they're looking for whisper options (and then choose the lemon cake, even if not recommended) 2. Eat them just chewing gum (and yes they take the oysters as a change of typical Swiss cuisine (they can always be cheese fondue later) and then either the chicken or bark or (indeed) cheese fondue. 3. the wee. o young. so many choices of new age difficulties (competition arvine yes, please). 4. We walked here from the top of the cable car for lunch one Sunday. The waiter steered towards the buffet brunch at CHF39 per person. A la carte was available but he said it would take longer. There were lots of families there and a bouncy castle for the children. The buffet cold bits were good. The tray of barbecued meats were a bit cold. The best thing was the beef stew. Good choice of puddings was much enjoyed. The restaurant coped well when the clients left the outside and headed in during a sudden downpour. Waiter was v friendly and spoke v good English.
Dans cet alpage en activité, on visite la fromagerie et les vaches ne sont pas loin. Les plats traditionnels valaisans type "croûte au fromage" sont les meilleurs de la région. Et le panorama est exceptionnel, avec vue sur certains des plus beaux 4000 des Alpes valaisannes (Cervin, Dent Blanche, Weisshorn, etc.). Une adresse à ne pas manquer !
Being on the terrasse de l’alpage is always a pleasure. You can choose the plat du jour or anything on the menu, and you will certainly enjoy. Swiss wine to accompany, to be enjoyed too. Une équipe très sympa et chaleureuse vous acceuille de façon sympathique et sert des produits locaux. La triple croûte vaut le détour même si ce jour là celle qui m'était servie méritait peut être une goute de vin blanc en plus. Mais l'endroit est tellement sympa que je suis certain d'y revenir!
We waited for over an hour to be served during the opening weekend of the ski season. People were walking out, tired of waiting for their orders. The staff seemed ill prepared for the number of people arriving. Food was good, but not outstanding, and...rather pricey. Wish we'd gone elsewhere.
Sehr schöner und gemütlicher Platz in Thyon. Wir wurden freundlich begrüsst und sehr zuvorkommend bedient. Wir genossen ein Fondue Wyssmüller® Assemblage à la tomate. Das Restaurant ist einfach eingerichtet wobei es an nichts fehlt und man sich hier willkommen fühlt.
