a new pearl at the rande of the road we discovered on the way to home from the holiday. somewhere in the black forest, between offenburg and French town, we thought after 13 o'clock that they should take care of a local for lunch. usually only open until 14 o'clock, and often when they are looking, they can't find anything, just not here, between kilometer-long forest and have it. So, look up, and not long later, we passed a beautiful uphill with gigs, and a small sign showed a two to this local. they saw it lying in the far away, no village, no other houses, only the nature. When looked closer, it became a very nice restaurant, completely new, with much bright wood, outside and inside. a large beer garden, which has a well equipped children's playground. next door a smaller, also new building, guest house stood at the facade. at the entrance a table, today there were mixed roasts with late brick and salat. I didn't need a card. my man chose kalbsschnitzel with late zle. some guests were still sitting in the rustic dining room and were able to taste the regional meals. a young, friendly woman in the dirndl served us, also took the time to chat with us about the weather. I had ordered an older part of the mixed frying, there was a disc calfed and blackened. in the upper floor sat a few patches. to it spicy sosse and funny late zle, small as spicy but very good taste. and all for 12 euro 80, absolutely satisfactorily. on the map I could read that this was once a mill, only in recent years completely renewed, the rooms in the guest house with 5 stars quality. that had our food and when I had to pay, I had to see the bill where we were. the place is called biederbach, belongs to elzach, but must be somewhere behind the mountain, we did not find it. but beautiful walks around the local, kühe muhen and fluffy, more they don't hear, a paradisia for those seeking rest and loneliness.
even if it should be friendly on the website, our experiences have not been met. Although we had asked for extra when booking, whether during dinner a vegan menu is also possible, which has been hunted and is also advertised on the website, we could only order the main dish and the intermediate dish, as described by the service as vegan. (from the normal cards that can also be found on the internet, we were not allowed to order) that would have been for us. unfortunately it was then a vegan-friendly cut, baked camembert. we then experienced unconsciousness what is now our problem. even at the breakfast there were hardly vegan eating. for this dinner and the breakfast then had to be paid 50€ per person, without drinks. if they don't want to host vegan-feeding people, they shouldn't be advertised on its website and then don't promise to fake facts when they ask. for us it was thrown out because we couldn't eat it. 2 stars just as the rooms were in order.
we were on the way through and have arrived at the restaurant.Since my friend was vegan fed we were surprised that was also vegan on the map. she had a filled polenta and was totally enthusiastic. next time she will try the vegan garnelen.I had a (big) pump steak which was perfectly fried and of great quality.Whoever come back in any case.Very nice host family.
