we were on a warm Saturday evening in the august at the farm ferry and were excellently served. also the quality of eating (fitness plate with calf and tatar) and wein (Riesling-Silvaner from maienfeld) were perfect for this type of restaurant. as a farm with many shaded places among the chestnuts, the ferry is highly recommended. However, it should be borne in mind that the business at such a place is very cyclic and on beautiful days with many simultaneously arriving guests can probably not be offered the same service as on a quiet evening if only 1/3 of the places is occupied. we wanted to enjoy something small in the beautiful garden of the restaurant. Unfortunately there is nothing really small on the map (almost noted in the garden.) according to the operation it is also not possible to get a Cordon ball instead of pommes only salat. We've never heard of it. something like a gym for all the many velo drivers and hiking there is not. here would be a need for action. some visitors didn't really know what to order because they wanted to "a snack" and not order a lunch for 40.-CHF. the service was quite inflexible and uninterested, but polite. the food was very good. the prices are high and the portions are not very large.
beautiful terrace and good clear menu. However, the staff seems to be overwhelmed. can be that it was not so much played by the rainy days. from our ordering 4 people there was only a mistake at the drinks afterwards I had to wait for my suppen spoon there was the suppe already a bit cooler. despite 15 tables and 3-4 employees, the service was not the yellow of the egg. I wish the team a nice summer so they can still play in. would then be a super outing target.
for 6 smallest fish crispy (canada,?) salt potatoes and standing vegetables for fr. 33.50 on the teller in a gardenbeiz without charm and ambiance are simply too much. I am the teacher of the farm ferry and I can only say the athmosphere in the team is super I learn a lot and they take enough time to teach me everything too the food tastes very good to me especially the rehnetzelte and the latezli in the wild season fabulous! the ambiente is homely and very lovingly designed!
the garden restaurant is very nice, there is nothing. Unfortunately, you cannot rely on the opening times on the website, which is very annoying if you have previously checked extra and take the away with a group. from earlier visit I can say that eating well but the service is manageable ... pity ...
the food in the restaurant is really excellent! (wild season highly recommended) the garden convinces with shaded chestnuts, and many different fitness plate variants. the coup’s are the mind :)
close to the listed Eglisau-Glattfelden power plant, this gas farm is located. in summer popular with cyclists, but also offers upscale kitchen.
