The restaurant is in the centre of a small village, but even so, you have to book well ahead. This is partly due to the quality of the food, but I think it may also be due to it seating a maximum of 24 people. The welcome was friendly and the service was quick. The menu is fairly limited, both for food and wine, and the most expensive choice of menu does not detail what you would get! The choice from the a la carte did suit us and we were pleased with our choices. Our favourites were the fish dishes, not surprisingly, as this is right on the Atlantic coast. The only minor criticism would be that there was no deadening of the voices of other diners, so even though the tables were well spaced, one could not help but overhear what was being said at those other tables. Perhaps some music, or curtains or a carpet might help. The restaurant is only open two lunchtimes a week off-season, and a bit more during July and August.
