Third visit in as many weeks, and more impressed than ever. Packed out today, and I was wondering if there might be a slight drop in quality of food and/or service, with the increase in numbers. Not at all! For summer visitors relying on TA for choice remember that while overall quality remains ok in France, more and more restaurants are tourist oriented, and to be frank, tourist fare standards are not what they were. In Malaucène, the Atelier de la Ferme and Au Fil de la Dégustation stand out from the crowd. If you love good food at reasonable prices, I would stick to these two. Today, if anything, it was the best meal yet. Daughter and I worked our way through as many different options as we could on the three course 18.50€ menu the millefeuille avocado and prawn, the salmon and tuna tartare entrees, nicely seasoned and moreish. Sticking with the raw theme, she then chose the beef tartare mains, with delicious crispy fries, nicely presented. My hake fillet with a creamy lemon sauce was perfectly cooked, full of flavour, melted in the mouth. We couldn't resist dessert. A moist chocolate cake with a raspberry coulis for me, an original smoothie with mint, ginger, raspberry and cottage cheese for the daughter. Washed down with a glass of my favourite local rosé from Crestet's Chêne Bleu winery. 10 out of 10 so far, for this great little town centre eatery.
