A late booked table of 3, for an already very full restaurant, We were very lucky to get in. The Food was delicious, fresh, excellent quality, although simply presented it was obviously extremely well cooked. A mistake was made on the starter order, but was quickly rectified, and the cheese failed to turn up until the Patron spotted We hadn't had it. The Cuit - Minute Choclat Noir for dessert was sublime. The marshmallows with the coffee were a different, delicious touch.When We came to pay the coffee's had already been taken off the bill as a goodwill gesture. We would definitely go back.
If you are looking for a typical small French village restaurant with truly local products and flavours, look no further than the Auberge Bressane de Buellas. The poulet a la creme au morilles is among the best we have ever experienced, the gelee de truite with its mayonnaise outstanding, all brought together with likely the most professional service. We highly recommend you visit this special corner of "La Bresse" for an unforgettable experience. Unparalleled value for money!
Fantastic meal here, good old country French family restaurant. Clean and attractive restaurant, friendly staff and food which satisfies the stomach as well as the eye, at reasonable cost. It is certainly the first time apart from Le Chalut in St Malo where we have not been disappointed. In recent years good food in France has been on the slide. Just hoping it is now going up again. We have such fond memories of the 1980's up to about 1992.
Buellas doesn't have a great deal in it apart from the Auberge. However the rooms and the food make it worth staying as both are good. Not surprisingly we both opted for the Poulet de Bresse and we're not disappointed. A tasty amuse bouche followed by a smooth pate made the evening go well, deserts of soufflé and chocolate fondant both perfectly cooked show the quality of the chef.
