Have been eating at the Auberge and the Aubergine for many years but never written a review. This family know how to cook and consistently produce creative and delicious dishes. So many favourites but piperade with a poached egg and chorizo foam is regularly on the menu and is lovely. Another standout was celeriac prepared to resemble risotto rice dressed in a wondergul mushroom ssuce with John Dory across the top. The menu changes fairly regularly but whatever is on offer is cooked to perfection. The wine suggestions are also excellent and you can buy by the glass for a very reasonable price. We used this restaurant initially as the result of a recommendation by the management of the Hotel L'Auberge further along the main street of the town. The restaurant for the Hotel L'Auberge (where we were staying) was closed on Monday night and it was recommended that we try the L'Auberge'ine instead. It was an excellent idea and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal at this restaurant. The service and food were simpler than L'Auberge, but nonetheless very well cooked and good value. Après avoir découvert les fermetures habituelles des restaurants français le lundi soir, nous avons continué à marcher dans la rue Anne-d’Auray et avons trouvé L’Auberg’ine et quelle trouvaille. Nous voyageons en France depuis trois semaines et ce doit être le meilleur repas que nous ayons eu. Dès le menu à 25€, les saveurs, les textures, l'équilibre et la présentation des trois plats étaient tout simplement parfaits. Si seulement nous restions un peu plus longtemps. Je le recommande vivement. Et la carte des vins était intéressante !
