As soon as you enter the front door you can feel the ambiance of this place, warm, friendly and inviting. A fantastic soundtrack playing and perfect mood lighting and interior decor make this a cozy establishment. This is just how a gastro pub should be....I can't rave enough about the ambience, it's fantastic! They have a rotating menu, so nothing will be the same day to day, all farm to table here from small local farms- so it's fresh! Valerie, our server, guided us through the menu and the dining adventure. She was absolutely fantastic, courteous, professional and extremely helpful to these non French speaking visitors. I don't know where to begin the music, the ambience, the service, or the food? All great! The menu changes nightly based on what is locally available. We started with Frite Polenta. Fried polenta sticks with an incredibly fresh tomato sauce. Followed that with...Chou-fleur grille cauliflower with a light cheese sauce and toasted pecans. That convinced my husband that he actually did like cauliflower! Our entree was Morue codfish, served with a fresh mushrooms over lentils and root vegetables. The fish was fresh, meaty, and moist. Every vegetable was crispy and the flavor was unique. Finished with the dessert of the night, warm melt-in-your-mouth brownie with raspberry puree and toasted oats....

I had heard about this restaurant from a friend and wanted to give it a try. I made my reservation online and the server was already aware of my celiac disease.. He proudly announced to me that there were no restrictions and I could order...anything I wanted on the menu since there was no flour in any of the preparations. This never happens. I am always stuck with only or options and usually a lack luster salad. We carefully made our choice and were not disappointed. The plates were carefully constructed and every item on the plate worked in harmony with the other flavors. I would highly recommend this hidden gem

Laurentie Buvette Gourmande provided us a great dining experience on our last night in Quebec City. Their menu is posted on boards throughout the restaurant and the bartender/manager provided us with some great guidance while we enjoyed a wine he recommended. My friend's vegetarian dish...was great and my beef dish was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Another party in the restaurant was enjoying a "chef's choice" that the restaurant happily provides if they are not too busy. If you are staying anywhere near the "low town" we recommend dining here

We stopped in for bite to eat and drink, looking for something different than bar food and found fresh, farm-to-table, creative small plates, appetizers, and entrees. No doubt the desserts are awesome too!! The food is delicious and the service is inviting and friendly! The...carrot bread with the nut spread was a sweet enjoyable, summer comfort food. It was great meeting everyone and we enjoyed our conversations with Brian and Eric! Your explanations of all the dishes was appreciated! Go! You won’t be disappointed

Awesome food and service! Went on a recommendation from hotel staff and loved it. We went before the Keith Urban concert and had brie, potato appetizer, seafood on a stick (I forget what it was called but it was delicious and the gnocchi and everything was outstanding. The service was excellent very fast and everything looked so nice as well. It was so good we went back after the concert for more drinks : .

What a delight! Wonderful food so fresh, they went on the roof and picked it, and whatever the farmers bring is how they design the menu. Had walleye for the first time...great! Highly recommend the cauliflower concoction. Delightful chef and host who made recommendations and...wine pairings. Thoroughly enjoyed an authentic Canadian dinner with a French flair. I'll be back

We had an incredible evening at this restaurant. The food was amazing and we were lucky enough to spend some time with the passionate and knowledgeable owner. David spoiled us and we could go on and on about this place. The welcoming environment made us eager to come back again!

La seule chose que je trouve dommage c 'est de pas pouvoir mettre 6 étoiles!!! Super service par David, cocktails sublimes choix de bière parfais! Sans parler de la nourriture qui est 'to die for '!!! Ambiance très cool, c 'est notre nouveau resto favori!

Nous sommes allé déjeuner ce matin. On s'est régalé et on a été servi comme des rois par la très gentille Sara. On a déjà hâte d'y retourné.
