as soon as they enter the front door, they can feel the ambiente of this place, warm, friendly and welcoming. a fantastic soundtrack game and perfect mood lighting and interieur make this a cozy establishment. so should be a gastro-pub....I can't be enough about the ambiente rave, it's fantastic! They have a rotating menu so that nothing will be on the same day to day, all farm here from small local farms to table - so it's fresh! valerie, our server, led us through the menu and the culinary adventure. she was absolutely fantastic, polite, professional and extremely helpful for these non-French speaking visitors. the dishes are served tapas style, enough for two people. eating is delicious,...
I don't know where to start the music, the ambiente, the service or the eating? the menu changes at night, based on what is available before location. we started with frite polenta. baked polnta sticks with an incredibly fresh tomato sauce. with that. Chou-fleur grille cauliflower with a light cheese sauce and roasted pecans. that convinced people that he actually made like flower cabbage! our entree was Morue-Kidfisch, served with fresh mushrooms over lenses and root vegetables. the fish was fresh, fleshy and damp. each sweet was crispy and the taste was unique. finished with the dessert the night, warm melt-in-your mouth brownie with celestial pure and roasted heel. I had heard of a friend of this restaurant and wanted to try. I made my reservation online and the server was already aware of my zöliakie. he proudly announced that there were no restrictions and I could order. what I wanted on the menu because there was no flour in any preparations. that never happens. I always use only 1 or 2 options and in the rule a lack of glossy salate. we have met our choice carefully and were not disappointed. the plates were carefully constructed and each element on the plate worked in harmonie with the other aromes. I would highly recommend this hidden gem.
Sent here tonight by our concierge. It was their first shot at a veggie- inspired night. HUGE success. Every dish was brilliantly conceived and delicious. Very highly recommended. The vegetable “rilletes” was inspired. The veggie lasagna (no noodles, but with some cheese) was great, oysters...were nice and the Brownie dessert with pralines and ice cream was absolutely inspired. I am by no means a vegetarian. There were a couple of meat options for people like me. I went with the flow and loved it. If I get back to Quebec, I’ll certainly return here. Réservez une table maintenant
Laurentie Buvette Gourmande provided us a great dining experience on our last night in Quebec City. Their menu is posted on boards throughout the restaurant and the bartender/manager provided us with some great guidance while we enjoyed a wine he recommended. My friend's vegetarian dish...was great and my beef dish was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Another party in the restaurant was enjoying a chef's choice that the restaurant happily provides if they are not too busy. If you are staying anywhere near the low town we recommend dining here.
We stopped in for bite to eat and drink, looking for something different than bar food and found fresh, farm-to-table, creative small plates, appetizers, and entrees. No doubt the desserts are awesome too!! The food is delicious and the service is inviting and friendly! The...carrot bread with the nut spread was a sweet enjoyable, summer comfort food. It was great meeting everyone and we enjoyed our conversations with Brian and Eric! Your explanations of all the dishes was appreciated! Go! You won’t be disappointed.
what a joy! wonderful eating so fresh, they went to the dach and chose it, and whatever the farmers bring is how they make the menu. had for the first time Walleye...big! recommend the flower coal. wonderful chef and host who made recommendations and...wine pairings. an authentic Canadian dinner with French flair enjoyed very well. I'll be back!
