We're regulars. We live in the hill not far from Le Bienheureux. OK. Still, I have to write this review to underline these important updates. A. The family is back! And so the kitchen gets a delightful dose of youth, freshness and professionalism. The menu is changing only for the better, and the chef has a great take on his product and an elegant flair for his presentation. Bravo! Madame, who greets you with her boundless good cheer, is back as well, and truly lights up the restaurant with her enthusiasm and care. And the boss, well he, thankfully does not change. The most gracious, welcoming, and generous person you will meet.Great news, as well, English is spoken, albeit with a sort of Kiwi accent, but credit cards are still not accepted.Reservations are a really, really good idea. Even us regulars have to reserve a table in this restaurant that truly deserves its success.

I'll start by saying we are regulars at Le Bienheureux. I will also add that the ownership are truly delightful people. This summer, we were there last night for the inauguration of the new menu, the chef has added.......a burger. Not just any burger, call it the BunsHeureux, the ArnaudBurger, the BienBurger, it is simply one of the best burgers I have ever eaten, anywhere! The beef is the best France has to offer and is perfectly seasoned. The buns are homemade and absolutely perfect. The cheese is brought in from a family farm. And the fries are fresh, hand-cut, perfectly cooked..........And, while I know you did not come to France to eat a burger, this burger will prove to you why the French are so, so much better at food than anyone else.BRAVO!

We arrived mid afternoon to check if the restaurant was open that night and it was . - Not always to be depended on in France!Returned in the evening. Reception and service were excellent. The two set menus -plus a la carte- were imaginative and well produced. Very pleased and would definitely return if we were in the area again.

Came across this small quirky restaurant by chance in the tiny hamlet of Saint Alexandre. We had a simply delicious meal on the terrace and would certainly return. Excellent service and food created with passion. The restaurant was open on a Monday evening!
