Nous avons passé une nuit au Cabanon pendant notre Tour du Mont Blanc et avons été très satisfaits de l'accueil qui nous a été réservé malgré notre arrivée tardive et nos habits et sacs trempés. Les chambres sont sobres mais très agréables (et calmes), il y a un petit salon pour partager un moment avec les autres voyageurs (4 chambres au total). A noter : la salle de bain est commune aux 4 chambres mais très bien tenue lors de notre nuitée. On regrettera juste le petit déjeuner "industriel", on aurait préféré des produits locaux et plus qualitatif mais cela restera une bonne expérience!
This is really a café with restaurant prices. I can't understand why it has the reviews it does. While it has a great view over the lake, it is overpriced and the portions are slim. We had a cheese omelet with salad and... the price expected something special. We had a casual omelet and the salad had a very tart dressing on them that caught the back of your throat. We had to ask twice for water so that the service here is not particularly good. And the last thing it did for me was the number of flies that run around as we ate.
Personnel aimable, service rapide, prix relativement modérés. La terrasse est magnifiquement située au bord du Lac, confortable et calme. Vraiment aucune note négative. Nous avons prix une salade du pêcheur qui était excellente, du vrai poisson pané pour menu enfant et une tranche au fromage qui aurait mérité un peu plus de fromage mais qui était préparée à la perfection. Rien a dire, à visiter à nouveau
Pleasant location with view of lake. Very slow service - waited for the menu and any service. Food adequate maybe but overpriced - they ran out of pudding (ice cream). At the end there appeared to be only one unfortunate waitress who had to cope with all the customers. Unsatisfactory. This place probably OK for a drink with a view but not otherwise. Avoid. C'est désormais la seule terrasse "les pieds dans l'eau" de Champex et l'endroit est très agréable et populaire. On nous y a servi sans "chichi" une bonne cuisine et les enfants ont appréciés le baby-foot gratuit ! En outre, on peut louer une barque ou un pédalo à deux pas en guise d'apéritif ou de ballade digestive !
Tres bel endroit ...une tres belle vue sur le lac..nous avions envie de manger les pieds ds l eau et avins choisi vette tres belle terrasse.Un service egalement a la hauteur. Nous avons pris une fondue..delicieuse..par contre nous sommes restees sur notre faim les portions sont vraiment petites...quel dommage !
After a walk around the small lake, it was a pleasure to sit here and watch the lake and the ducks and during an hour or so away in the sun over a Valais plate of Chacuterie and cheese with a glass of wine. The next morning I came for a coffee while waiting for the bus prompt and efficient service.
17:00, no menu offered and when I have asked for one I was rejected. Sour face and bad attitude from the only two ladies served in the restaurant. The only good thing I can say is that they had bad attitude toward all guests. Won't...come again. Réservez une table maintenant
